Oscar Pistorius sentencing hearing ends, Judge to announce purnishment on tuesday.


The sentencing of the double-amputee star, Oscar Pistorius ended today, Friday in South Africa with prosecutors asking the Judge to give him a lengthy prison sentence while his defense attorneys pleading for leniency for a "broken" man.

Judge Thokozile Masipe, who found Pistorius guilty of culpable homicide last month in the shooting to death of girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp, is expected to announce her sentence on Tuesday.

FG reaches ceasefire agreement with Boko Haram

 Federal Government of Nigeria has reached a. Cease fire agreement with Boko Haram following today's meeting in Saudi Arabia.

The chief of Defence Staff, Alex Badeh, has therefore, ordered all service of chiefs to comply with the cease fire agreement between Nigeria and Boko Haram in all theatres of operations.

Securing the release of the 219 Chibok girls abducted by Boko Haram was a major part of the discussion.

FG meets with Boko Haram representatives in Saudi Arabia


Islamist group Boko Haram is currently negotiating with the Federal Government to release more than 200 girls abducted about six months ago in Chibok, Borno

Boko Haram representative, Danladi Ahmadu, who is in Saudi Arabia, said the girls are in good condition and unharmed. But he didn't elaborate on the conditions under which the girls will be released.

Micheal Jackson tops Forbes list of highest earning dead celebrities


King of Pop, Micheal Jackson beats Elvis Presley to be the world's top earning dead celebrity of 2014.

According to Forbes, he made almost three times as much as perennial list topper Elvis Presley, who made a relatively paltry $55million in earnings over the same 12-month period.

Jackson's estate made a fortune on his second post humous album release "Xcape" which went straight to number one in the charts.
His profile was also bolstered by a holographic performance on stage at the Billboard Music Awards.

Joan Rivers Cause Of Death: Lack of oxygen to brain during surgery


Joan Rivers officially died of anoxic encephalopathy due to hypoxic arrest- a lack of oxygen to the brain during an endoscopy procedure, the New York City Medical Examination announced on Thursday.
It was revealed that she was under sedation when it happened. 

Rivers died at the age of 81 on September 4, a week after going into cardiac arrest and being put into a coma following what was suppose to be a routine procedure to evaluate changes to her voice.
