New York records first case of Ebola


New York City has just recorded it's first case of Ebola, since the disease entered United States through a Liberian man.

A doctor, Craig Spencer, who served with the French medical charity "Doctors Without Borders" in Guinea, tested positive to Ebola Yesterday and has been admitted in Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan, New York.

According to reports, Dr Spencer returned to the US from Guinea on 17th of October and was active in the city for seven days before he reported himself, that he had fever, diarrhea, neusa and was running temperature.

Dr Spencer's fiancée, Morgan Dixon with whom he shares the same apartment has been quarantined in the same hospital. Two of her friends are also in quarantine at home.

Ace comedian, Ayo Makun, also known by his stage name AY, speaks on divorce syndrome in the entertainment industry.

In a recent interview with PUNCH, AY said he would do everything possible to save his home.

"I revere marital fidelity and i believe if every couple can work at consciously making their homes work, there will be less sorrow in the land."

To emphasize his devotion to his family, the comedian said he would not allow his tight schedule come between him and his wife.

"The craziness of my schedule is indeed a challenge but it is my duty to make quality time for my wife and that is what i strive to do to keep the relationship continually fresh.

AY who tied the knot with is wife Mabel, on November 29th, 2003 has added something to the business of making people laugh.

Boko Haram releases abducted women in Adamawa.


There are reports that the Islamic violent group, Boko Haram has reportedly freed the women abducted recently from Waga Mangoro and Madagali villages of Adamawa State.

This was made known by the villagers, to news men on Thursday. However, the villagers could not say the specific number of women released by the insurgents.

Ebola: Federal Government Sends 250 Health Workers To Liberia, Serra Leone


Barely a week after the World Health Organization declared Nigeria free of the dreaded Ebola Virus Disease EVD, President Jonathan has given the go ahead for the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control to support Ebola ravaged countries like Liberia and Sierra Leon.

250 Nigeria health experts are set to be deployed to these countries in the next few day, to help fight against the disease, which has sent many to the grave.m

The supervising Health Minister, Dr Khaliru Alhassan, who made this known during a press briefing on Thursday in Abuja, also announced that there are 506 volunteers ready to be deployed. But that will be done after concluding all necessary logistics under the watch of World Health Organisation.
 

Folly Coker denies affair with Tiwa Savage, says he doesnt own Marvin Records

Folly Coker, the upwardly-mobile senior aide of Governor Babatunde Fashola, who was rumored to be dating singer, Tiwa Savage, has described the tale as untrue.

Coker also described his alleged ownership of Marvin Records, supposedly owned by Don Jazzy, as a figment of the imagination of some idle minds and jobless individuals.

In the last few days, rumors of Coker being the cause of the troubled marriage of Tiwa Savage and husband went viral.

An undisclosed source said:
"These reports are tissues of lies. Folly knows Don Jazzy and likes his music a lot. But he has no investment in Marvin Records."

"For Tiwa Savage, you cannot even say they are friends, not to talk of lovers. They don't exchange test messages or any thing.
Legal action has commenced against the fabricators of the the damaging tale." The insider said.
