World Trade Center Reopens Thirteen Years After The 9/11 Terrorist Attack

Thirteen years after the September 11 terrorist attack, the resurrected World Trade Center is again opening for business.

The skyscraper at 1,776ft(541m), is currently America's tallest building.

The  eight-year construction came after years of political, financial and legal infighting that threatened to derail the project.

More than 2,700 people died on the 11 September terrorist attack.

FG to return Emir Sanusi seized passport/salaries following reconciliation meeting

The reconciliation meeting between President Goodluck Jonathan and the Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi has produced gains for the Monarch, as federal authorities have been directed to release his passport and withheld salaries.

Also the Kano central prison is to be relocated for better security at the Emir's palace.

According to the 'The Nation', the Emir's travel passports and his withheld salaries plus allowances will be paid in full. If the travelling documents are released, The Emir will be able to travel abroad for checkup and to meet his international friends, who are desirous of investing in the Emirate.

These are some of the gains of the meeting.

Gunmen Invade Kogi Prison, Free 114 Inmates

There was heavy gun battle at Koton-Karfi prison in kogi state, as no fewer than 144 inmates have been set free by unknown gunmen, who invaded the prison in the early hours of today, November 3.

One inmate was killed in the process.

The controller of the prinsons confirmed the attack.

Scores Killed As Suicide Bomber Strikes In Yobe State

A bomb attack has repotedly occured in Potiskum, Yobe state.

Witnesses say a suicide bomber targeting members of the Shiite group, Islamic Brotherhood of Nigeria, detonated his explosive vest, killing many instantly.

The bombing took place at Fayida Islamic school, ran by the Shiite. The bomber struck when when member of the Shiite group were on their way to the mosque for prayers.

Potiskum is the largest town outside damaturu, the Yobe state capital.

Rihanna and Chris Brown back in love?

Chris Brown and Rihanna are rumoured to have reunited following their actions and words over the last few weeks.

According to MTV, Brown recently publicly cut ties with his model girlfriend, Karrueche Tran,saying he didn't want her to get hurt over his friendship with his ex, Rihanna.

Recent pictures show Tran leaving Brown's house, the two setting up in seperate vehicles. This happened after Brown and Rihanna were seen together acting affectionately at a public event in Beverly Hills last week.

And now, rumors has suggested that Rihanna and Brown are about to go public with their relationship, especially as they were caught kissing last week. Rihanna continued to hit at reconciliation by tweeting bible excerpts like Forgiveness wins, followed by, For if you forgive people their trespasses....your heavenly father will also forgive you.

The N.Y Post News, reported that at a recent Chris Brown event, Rihanna was never far from Brown's side as the two got cosy at Plum Crazy night club.

In early October,the two were seen partying at several NYC clubs, and even attended Jay Z's concert at Barclay's center, later that week.

Few days later, Brown released a drunken video where he hinted about the possibility of being in love with two people at the same time. It seemed obvious at the time that he was talking about his renewed affection for Rihanna and still caring for Karrueche Tran.

Air Traffic Controllers SLAMS Synagogue Claims That A Mysterious Aircraft Flew Over The Church's Building

The Nigeria Air Traffic Controllers Association(NATCA), has critised the Synagogue Church of All Nation(SCOAN) over claims that a mysterious aircraft flew over the church building a few minutes before it collapsed.

President NATCA, Victor Eyaru, in his address at the 43rd annual general meeting of the association in Kano, said the collapse should not be linked to any air traffic control activity.

"We want to state categorically that where the church is located is not part of either restricted or prohibited airspace where air traffic cannot take place."

"The aircraft in question was undertaking normal aviation practice in accordance to prescribed procedures and any link to the building collapse is absurd, laughable and unacceptable," he said.

Comedian Julius Agwu Steps Down From 2015 Campaign For Rivers State Governship Position

Ace comedian, Julius Agwu has reportedly stepped down from the contesting for the seat of governor of Rivers state, just three months after he declared his intention to run for the position.

According to a statement released by Julius Agwu's manager, Prince Sunday Uwem,

"There was a meeting (Thursday, October 30), between Julius Agwu and his Kinsmen from Ikwere, and it was agreed that he should step down from the governorship race because the current governor, Governor Rotimi Amaechi is his friend and they are both from the same area. They want the position to rotate to another part of the state and Julius has decided to listen to his people and withdraw from contesting."

According to reports, there is still a chance of Julius Agwu running for other political positions in the future.

Dangote cuts down the price of Cement, a bag now selling for N1,000

Leading cement manufacturer, Dangote Cement Plc has announced huge cuts in the price of the essential product.

A step that will make cement cheaper than it has ever been since 2005, the new price was announced by the Group Managing Director, Mr Devakumar Edwin. He said the company has pegged the Dangote 32.5 cement grade at N1,000 per 50kg, while the higher 42.5 grade is to sell for, 1,150per bag.

The new price exclusive of the Value Added Tax(VAT), represents about 40 percent discount on the prevailing market price of the product which is currently sold for N1,700 irrespective of the grade.

Edwin said the move is in line with the company's commitment to the nation's dire need for the development of infrastructure and boost the federal and state government's ongoing effort to reduce the near 20 million housing deficit in Africa's largest economy.
