President Jonathan Says Nollywood Stars Are Nigeria's Greatest Ambassadors


President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday, described actors and actresses as the greatest ambassadors of the country. 
He said players in Nollywood has consistently been bringing glory to the country. President Jonathan said this, while playing host to a group, Legends of Nollywood led by Paul Obazele at Aso Villa, Abuja.

He also stated that while the glory being brought to the country through Soccer had been on and off, the Nollywood stars were doing the country proud every time and he remained committed to giving government support to the movie industry.
President Jonathan was honored with the award of Grand Patron of Nollywood, during the visit.

Pirated Copies Of Obasanjo's Book Sells At Cheaper Rate In Lagos Traffic


Pirated copies of former president Olusegun Obasanjo's controversial autobiography titled "My Watch" have flooded the streets of Lagos, selling for as low as N7,000.

According to reports, the pirated books flooded the streets of Lagos, after a federal high court judge, Justice Valentine Ashi ordered that security agents should confiscate all copies of the book.
The original book which comes in three volumes cost about N15,000 while the pirated copy which has two volumes cost less than half the price and comes in a white cover as opposed to the original yellow and brown colour. 

Reporters who spoke to hawkers selling the book in the Maryland and Opebi areas of Lagos, learnt that the original book had become scarce.
The book centers on the life of Obasanjo in the military, as a democratic president and after the office.
