Ronaldo Becomes Most Popular/Liked Star On Facebook

Real Madrid forward and three times Ballon D’Or winner, Cristiano Ronaldo has overtaken singing sensation, Shakira as he became the celebrity with the most likes on Facebook with 107 million fans on the website.

Ronaldo hit the 100 million fan mark in October of 2014 and has now gone 16,000 fans better than Shakira who until a few days ago has the most popular page on Facebook.

Ronaldo is becoming more of a household name in recent months as the former Manchester United winger has more fans than even Real Madrid, who have 82.6 million Facebook fans.

Ronaldo is now the most popular footballer on Facebook and is followed unsurprisingly by Lionel Messi who comes in at 78 million fans, Beckham is third with 52 million and Barcelona’s Neymar comes in at just under 51 million fans.

You won't believe how much sugar is lurking in your favorite foods

Do you have any idea how much sugar you're eating? It's probably a lot more than you think.
As the picture above reveals, millions of us are unwittingly eating everyday foods packed with sugar - and getting fatter in the process.
While some culprits, such as Coca-Cola and ice cream are well known, there are many other less obvious foods that are loaded with the white stuff.
For example, Max chocolate candy bar contains more than six cubes of sugar.
Even a ‘healthy' fruit such as a mango contains nine cubes. However the sugars in milk, vegetables and pieces of fruit (as opposed to fruit juice), including dried fruit, do not wreak as much havoc.
So if you’re getting most of your sugar from these sources, you can eat up to 18 cubes daily.
More and more evidence suggests that too much sugar is contributing to the obesity and diabetes epidemic.
It is the sheer quantity of sugar that we consume that creates the problem, says Roy Taylor, professor of medicine and metabolism at Newcastle University.
‘Sugar calories slip down so easily and lead to weight gain.’
The World Health Organisation (WHO) recommends no more than 10 per cent of a person's daily energy should come from free sugars - those that are added to processed foods and drinks, but also those found naturally in honey, syrups and fruit juices.
However, the UN agency advises that people aim for no more than five per cent - 25g or around six teaspoons - to achieve the biggest health benefits.
Yet many of us are consuming way in excess of this.

Those Who Burnt Down My TV Studio Will Face God’s Wrath - Chief Igbinedion

The Esama of Benin Kingdom, Chief Gabriel Igbinedion, has said those who burnt down his television station, Independent Television would be face the wrath of God.

The Independent Television (ITV), Benin studio owned by Chief Igbinedion was last Saturday razed by fire.

Igbinedion who said so while inspecting the burnt studio also said it was senseless for anybody to attribute the cause of the fire to power surge.

“If it is a surge, the wires would be melted. Detection is the first work I did in the police. Only a stupid person will say it is a surge. They thought that they will take us off air till after the elections,” Igbinedion stated. We have been pre-warned and had enough threat. More than four occasions, I sent letters of threat and telephone calls to the police and the Director of DSS.All of you have heard what ITV has been going through for saying the truth. Nobody has faulted us for saying what does not happen. I told people that for more than nine years, I have not been to this place though I have an office here. It is only taking money from me and not earning money for me. It is for people to enjoy and hear what is happening in the state. I keep funding the station. Within 60 days, we will build a better digital studio. We will bring latest digital equipment that will surprise people. They cannot deter me, they cannot stop me. I am leaving it in the hands of God. I am going to take summons in the church. The perpetrators cannot go unpunished. Those who connived, heard and execute will face the wrath of God."He said.

It’s our turn to spend eight years in Aso Rock – Patience Jonathan

First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan has insisted that her husband won’t hand over power until he completes eight years in office.
The First Lady stated this in Benin, Edo State on Saturday at a women’s rally in support of President Goodluck Jonathan.
Mama Peace, however, denied making any hate speech against any candidate, while insisting that her husband must spend eight years in office as the constitution demands.
“Everybody is staying there for eight years. Now it’s our turn. We must complete our eight years. It is a constitution of this country. We will complete our two tenure and hand over.
“I am a peaceful person and I preach peace anywhere I go. They are looking for fight, they are looking for war. They are troublesome people. That is why they went and take expired drugs.
“Now they are crying. They are the people stoning people and nobody talk. They are dragging stadium but me I am ready to go to the street and do my campaign.
“The president is building schools. That is why in the whole federation when he came in, he built universities in every state. He built federal universities so that our children should go and learn.
“Goodluck has built uncountable hospitals, primary health centres. He equipped primary health centres, trained doctors and nurses.
“In Edo State, the federal university has been rehabilitated and well equipped for us. He gave our sons scholarships. Mr. President is ready to pay if you don’t have money to pay for your children.
“They were there years back. They have nothing to offer. Ask them what they offered to us when they were there. They were in Aso Rock before, what did they forget in Aso Rock they want to go and take. Days are gone when old people will continue to dominate us”, she said.
