Top designers, Dolce & Gabbana say they did not mean to judge other people's choices when they criticized same-sex parenting and the method of conceiving children via artificial insemination, which sparked controversy on Sunday and a scathing response by Elton John.
The singer-songwriter, who shares two sons born to asurrogate with husband David Furnish, had said, "Your archaic thinking is out of step with the times, just like your fashions." John's remarks included a call to boycott the luxury designer label.
Dolce said in a statement to E! that while his own family was "traditional", that does not "imply that I don't "understand different ones."
"I was talking about my personal view, without judging other people's choices and decisions," he added. "I'm Sicilian and I grew up in a traditional family, made up of a mother, a father and children. I am very well aware of the fact that there are other types of families and they are as legitimate as the one I've known...But in my personal experience, family had a different configuration. That is the place where I learnt the values of love and family."
"it was never our intention to judge other people's choices. We do believe in freedom and love. We firmly believe in democracy and the fundamental principle of freedom of expression that upholds it," he added

As the 2015 presidential elections is drawing close, the Witches and Wizards Association of Nigeria(Witzan) has chosen its candidate for the forthcoming polls.
This was revealed during the weekend by the association’s national coordinator, Dr Okhue Iboi, the Nigerian Watch reports.
“I am not supporting any politician but I warned former vice president Atiku Abubakar not to contest against President Goodluck Jonathan four years ago, that he would be defeated and that the action won’t make him return to power again. Not only him, I also warned General Ibrahim Babangida not to attempt it too, so I hope they know better now. We just held a meeting of witches in Kogi State where it was revealed to me that Jonathan would win the presidential election. He has the support of all witches to continue in office,” Dr Ibio said.Dr Ibio, however, predicted that after President Jonathan will be announced the winner of the election violence will erupt, and that the tension that will embrace the country will only subside with prayers from Nigerians because it is a nation of prayer warriors.

“How dare you refer to my beautiful children as ‘synthetic,'” The furious Grammy award winning singer wrote on his Instagram account Saturday.
“And shame on you for wagging your judgemental little fingers at IVF — a miracle that has allowed legions of loving people, both straight and gay, to fulfill their dream of having children. Your archaic thinking is out of step with the times, just like your fashions. I shall never wear Dolce and Gabbana ever again. #BoycottDolceGabbana”His comments came after Mr Dolce told Italian magazine Panorama that procreation ‘should be an act of love’, adding: ‘You are born and you have a father and mother. At least it should be like that. That’s why I’m not convinced by what I call chemical children, synthetic babies.
‘They are wombs for hire, semen chosen from a catalogue. And then you have to explain to these children who their mother is.’
