Buhari should beg Yoruba people for forgiveness instead of seeking votes – Fayose

Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has advised APC Presidential Candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari to beg the Yoruba ethnic group for forgiveness instead of seeking for their votes in the forthcoming election.
Fayose also said Gen. Buhari should tender an open apology the people of Edo and Delta States for the inhuman treatment he melted on them as the Head of State.
The governor stated this in a statement by his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, on Wednesday in Ado Ekiti.
“Buhari’s coup of 1983 destroyed the South-West and the old Bendel State (now Edo and Delta) as it put an end to the developmental programmes of the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo’s Unity Party of Nigeria in the region including Lagos, Oyo, Ogun , Ondo, as well as Bendel States.”
“Buhari meted inhuman treatment on Yoruba leaders like Obafemi Awolowo, Chief Adekunle Ajasin, Chief Bisi Onabanjo, Chief Bola Ige, Alhaji Lateef Jakande and the immediate past APC National Chairman, Chief Bisi Akande, all of whom, he said, championed development and good governance in the South-West States.”
“In Yorubaland, we were enjoying free education and free health before Buhari came. Then, all that was needed to go to primary and secondary schools was school uniform. Drugs were free.
“Apart from free education and free health, the South-West witnessed rapid development. Lagos State University, Ogun State University (now Olabisi Onabanjo University), Ondo State University (now Ekiti State University), Ondo State Polytechnic (now Rufus Giwa Polytechnic), and several other institutions were established.
“As of 1979, Lagos State had no secretariat. Jakande’s government built the Alausa Secretariat within four years. Ajasin’s government built Alagbaka Secretariat in Akure within four years. Even the Lekki-Epe road on which they are now collecting tolls was constructed by Jakande.
“For all that they did for us in Yorubaland, what did Buhari do to Jakande, Ajasin, Bola Ige and Bisi Onabanjo? He jailed them and Bisi Onabanjo came out of prison with health issues that eventually claimed his life.”
He further said, “What did Buhari do to reward Awolowo whose party gave us free education and free health? Awolowo’s international passport was seized and he was prevented from travelling abroad for medical treatment. Awolowo died two years after!
“In 1984 that Buhari introduced school fees, thousands of our youths then dropped out of school.
Therefore, Buhari who truncated the future of many of our people and jailed our leaders who served our land selflessly should be seeking forgiveness from Yoruba people, not votes”.

2,123 policemen protected Jonathan while robbers raided bank in Lagos – Fashola

Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola, Tuesday explained why those robbers who raided a bank in Lagos last Thursday went scot-free.
According to him, the policemen that would have foiled the incident were sent to protect President Goodluck Jonathan when he visited Lagos same day.
Fashola, who made this claim at the 2015 Agric Value Chains Empowerment programme, expressed disappointment with President Jonathan, whose visit to the state prevented security men from foiling the robbery incident.
Fashola claimed that all the vehicles bought by the state government for the police were sent to guard the president.
Hear him, “The President came to Lagos last Thursday, and while citizens were being robbed, the President was protected by 2,123 security personnel.
“Let me be very clear; the President is entitled to every protection; he is our President, but the question to ask is- when you were being traumatised, where were these 2,123 men, because you are also entitled to be protected? The reason why the President gets all that protection is so that he can protect all of us”.

Photos: Elton John Spotted With Dolce&Gabanna Bag Day After Claiming To Boycott The Brand

    Dolce and Gabann/ Elton John
Barely hours after solemnly promising never to wear high end fashion brand Dolce And Gabbana because it's founders called babies born through IVF "Synthetic", Elton John seems to have given in.

The singer was pictured yesterday entering a recording studio in Los Angeles with a bag from one of the designers' stores, with the name of the label written in gold on the side.

He was carrying the D&G-branded bag only 24 hours after he entered into a high-profile row with the designers over their criticism of fertility treatments. So much for the #BoycottDolceAndGabanna movement.

My Husband Is The Messiah - Patience Jonathan

First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan said her husband President Jonathan and PDP are the messiahs Nigeria need to move forward. Lol.
She said this while campaigning at the PDP women rally in Ilorin, Kwara State, yesterday.

"Nigerian women, if they (APC) come, tell them that your mother said you should not listen to them. They have nothing to offer. They have nothing to give you, Nigerian women; because the battle has already been conquered, God has opened the way for us. God has brought down the messiah for us. And PDP is the messiah. Goodluck is the messiah. I am a person that will tell the truth. I will not abuse people, but if you are old you are old, so leave it to younger people. What are we going to take expired drug to do? Have you seen anywhere where APC cured any person? If you vote and drink it and die, it is not my business. Don't go near APC. It is an expired drug and an adulterated drug"s she said

‘There is no news on the Chibok girls; No hope yet - Army Chief

In spite of the recent successes recorded by the Nigerian troops in the war against Boko Haram insurgents, they are still yet to make any headway on the abducted Chibok girls.

Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Kenneth Minimah revealed that there was no news yet on the over 200 schoolgirls abducted in Chibok, Borno State, in April 2014.

Minimah made the disclosure on Tuesday, March 17, after emerging from a Security Council meeting presided over by President Goodluck Jonathan.
“There is no news on the Chibok girls for now. In all the liberated areas , we have also made enquiries but the truth is when the terrorists are running away, they also run with their families.”
“Those we have come in contact with have not made any comments suggesting that Chibok girls were there and taken away.”
“But we are optimistic that as they are losing the areas captured by them, we will get further details on that,” Minimah added.
