Appoint A Minister For Common Sense – Ben Murray-Bruce Advises Buhari

Chairman of the Silverbird Group and Senator in the 8thNational Assembly, Ben Murray-Bruce has advised President Muhammadu Buhari to take a cue from President Joyce Banda of Malawi in a move to resuscitate the country’s dwindling economy.

Responding to reports of the annual cost of maintaining the presidential fleet, the Bayelsa East district Senator described the development as a complete waste of public fund.
According to him, the N5 billion Nigeria currently spend to maintain the Presidential Air Fleet (PAF) can be used to provide business start-up grants of over five N500,000 to 10,000 NYSC members.
The media mogul took to his twitter page to make this known.
In his full address made available to This Day, Ben Bruce urged President Buhari to sell off all 11 presidential jet and should consider issuing an Executive Order mandating all government officials to fly Nigerian airlines except in those cases where a Nigerian airline does not fly to the destination in which they are headed.

Second Lekki-Epe Expressway Will Be Toll-Free- Ambode

Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode yesterday assured Lagos residents in an interactive session with journalists at the Banquet Hall of the Lagos House, Ikeja, that Lagosisans will not be paying for the second toll point on the Lekki-Epe Expressway when it is completed.

In a statement later released by his Chief Press Secretary, Habib Aruna, said the Governor ids more interested in the completion of the road and not toll fees from citizens.
“We must start thinking of the future concerning that road. We said we will have an International Airport in Epe, and an Export Processing Zone in Lekki and a Deep Seaport also in Lekki. Should we not start thinking about how we will improve and create a 10-lane road between Ikorodu, Itoikin, Epe and Ijebu Ode so that people can go out from there? There is no point constructing the road, paying tolls and in five years’ time, the road is gone.
“We have said this is a government of continuity, but it is continuity with improvement. It is about making life easier for the people. We are receptive to new ideas and that is why we are going to be creative, innovative and thinking out of the box,” he said.

Man inserts Pepper and Beer in Girlfriend's Vagina as Punishment For Insulting Mother (Photos)

Ajisafe Solomon and his sister Ajayi Ayomide were brought in front of the Ikorodu Magistrate court with charges of wife battering and sodomy.

According to the police, the accused inserted a bottle of Turbo beer and pepper in the victim, Opeyemi Amuda's vagina. Police claim that the insertion of both objects into the 25 year old victim's genitals caused her to run mad on the spot.

In addition to all of that, the police also report that Ajisafe was accused of using a cane to continually beat the victim causing her severe cuts all over her body.

Reports say that all of this stemmed from the fact that Amuda, the victim, apparently insulted Ajisafe's mother. For that purpose, Ajisafe and his sister decided to pour ground pepper and Turbo beer in Amuda's private part on the grounds of "adultery" and "insulting his mother".

Speaking to the press, Deacon Obatungashe Adebayo, the Coordinator of Women Arise Initiative at Igbo Olumo stated that Ajisafe will be made to face the full wrath of the law.

Adebayo says "This is a very sad development. It is just like the case of Ejigbo sodomy and we wonder why they will go this far to torture somebody. I saw the victim and she is in a very bad shape. She has ran mad. She is defecating and urinating on herself. When she was brought to the court, she could barely say any sensible word".

The Magistrate, Mrs Afeez has remanded the accused in prison and ordered that the victim be taken to a rehabilitation centre for three months.

The case has been adjourned to July 15th 2015.

He was said to have made the move after returning from a visit to his native Katsina state. His wife had reportedly moved into Aso Rock yesterday.

Make no mistake..I remain loyal to Buhari - Atiku

Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has vowed to remain loyal to President Muhammadu Buhari.
He also pledged to continuously support him and make sure he succeeds as leader of the nation.
Atiku on Sunday, June 21, released a statement to address the widespread assertions and insinuations that he connived with Bukola Saraki to undermine the interest of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the National Assembly leadership elections.
In the release issued by his media office in Abuja, Atiku stated that he holds the President in the highest esteem and would never do anything to “jeopardise our hard-earned democracy and constitute a clog in the wheel of the new administration.”
“Not only did Atiku Abubakar congratulate Buhari after his emergence as the presidential candidate of the APC at the party’s national convention in Lagos, he also handed over his best assets to the Buhari Presidential Campaign.”
“The former Vice President enthusiastically handled the diplomatic assignment of seeking endorsement for Dr. Adesina as the President of the African Development Bank on behalf of President Buhari and would be available for any other assignments as the President pleases. Make no mistake about it, Atiku Abubakar holds Buhari in the highest esteem, and would always remain loyal to him, and support him in every endeavour to succeed as president.”
“We, the members of the President’s own family, need to lead in this direction for others to follow for the good of our nation and its peoples. It has become crystal clear even to the blind that the motives of these hatchet men who are desperate to take every available newspaper space is to insult, vilify and calumniate the former vice president.
“We cannot allow liars, denigrators and blackmailers and their sponsors to use Atiku as platform to ingratiate themselves with President Buhari and hijack his presidency under the pretext of loving him more than anyone else. These political ventriloquists are hiding behind the cover of anonymity to achieve their sinister agenda of making Atiku the fall guy in the unfolding political developments.”
