Yahoo Guy Dies While Trying To Sell Kidney For Money In Malaysia (Photo)

The victim of a botched kidney removal operation simply identified as Chukwudi from Owerri Imo State was approached by a rich Malaysian man in need of kidney for an urgent transplant operation who offered to pay him 6 million naira.

Chukwudi reportedly left Nigeria to Malaysia without informing any of his family members.

A Nigerian man who owns a car wash business in Malaysia says he tried to discourage Chukwudi from risking his life but he allegedly refused.

Hear the Nigerian businessman narrate how 28-year-old Chukwudi met his untimely death.

“I know many Nigerians will say it is none of my business how others make their money but I want to bring this to the notice of our country people how many of our young men die here in Malaysia in very disturbing circumstances.

“I can tell of this young Igbo boy named Chukwudi, from Owerri, Imo state, who was paid the sum of N6 million by one rich man to donate his kidney for a transplant.

“The young man was brought in from Nigeria and I had the privilege of interacting with him and tried to discourage him from undertaking such a risky venture but he was adamant, telling me he had made up his mind already and nothing could stop him.

“I even asked him to join me in my little car washing business from which I have been able to build a house back home but Chukwudi did not want to struggle to make money, he wanted to undertake this venture just to get rich quick.

“He wanted fast money and he ended up a dead man because the operation was not successful. He died in the process while the rich man had a successful kidney transplant.

“I felt so bad because I kind of liked the boy who was a graduate and had a lot of life ahead of him.

“So, please I want to use this opportunity to warn our young people not to always be in a hurry to make fast money, especially at the expense of one’s life,”.

The bizman also said that Chukwudi is not alone in this risky business of selling internal organs for money.

He said many young Nigerians are now undertaking this risky venture to get rich quick.

"We charge N400,000 for each bag of cocaine" - Another Arik Air staff confesses (Photo)

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency on Thursday said it had apprehended another employee of Arik Air, Ikechukwu Chibuzor Oliver, for his alleged involvement in the smuggling of 20kg cocaine to London on Monday.

According to the NDLEA, Oliver had confessed to the crime and had revealed that he charged N400,000 for each of the three bags containing the substance.

Oliver, Arik Air’s employee in the catering department, was said to have assisted Chika Egwu Udensi to get the cocaine onboard the London-bound Flight W3101 on which Udensi arrived in the UK on Monday night.

Udensi, a senior flight attendant with the airline was arrested with the substance by the UK Border Force at the Heathrow Airport, London, shortly after the Airbus A330 landed.

The NDLEA, in a statement, said 35 years old Oliver, who is a catering loader at Arik, was found to have subverted airport security by concealing cocaine in catering supplies.

The statement by the anti-narcotics agency’s spokesman, Mitchell Ofoyeju, indicated that preliminary investigation had revealed that both Oliver and Udensi had been infiltrated by a suspected drug cartel.

Ofoyeju said Oliver had told narcotic investigators that he was brought into the illicit drug deal by Udensi.

The NDLEA’s statement quoted Oliver to have said, “It was Chika that introduced me into the drug deal. Whenever Chika gives me the drug, I will hide it in catering supplies. Chika knows where to collect the drug inside the flight. They pay me N400,000 per bag. I was expecting N1.2m for the three bags that I smuggled into the aircraft.”

The statement added,“The 20kg of cocaine found with Chika in London was concealed within the construction of laptop bags. The quantity and estimated street value of the cocaine is over N100m.

“The latest Range Rover (Land Rover) car belonging to the prime suspect parked on the airline’s premises had been moved to the NDLEA office as exhibit.

“As part of investigation, the rented apartment of Chika on Pastor Ojediran Street Ejigbo, Lagos was searched by operatives of the NDLEA. He lives there with the mother and siblings while his wife and children are based in Canada.”

Oliver hails from the Isialagwa North Local Government Area of Abia State. The graduate of Business Administration was employed by Arik Air in 2009.

Meanwhile, the NDLEA Chairman/Chief Executive Officer, Ahmadu Giade, has directed that, henceforth, all airport workers must be extensively screened.

Giade said, “The agency has taken drastic measures to avert infiltration of airport workers by criminal syndicates. Airline officials and airport workers shall be subjected to comprehensive search. The NDLEA will resist any act capable of undermining security at all entry and exit points.”

The NDLEA boss stressed that all catering trucks, luggage trucks, aviation fuel tankers, machines and personnel whose duty directly or indirectly related to the tarmac and flight operations would be subjected to full screening.

Following Udensi’s arrest, operatives of the agency had on Wednesday besieged and occupied his Lagos house. The NDLEA stormed the house after they had interrogated pilots and flight attendants in the flight that left the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.

APC leaders angry as Buhari appoints more northerners

Some leaders of the All Progressives Congress party, have reacted negatively, to the announcement of new appointments by President Muhammadu Buhari.
The APC leaders lamented that the President’s appointments favoured the northern region, and as such, the party should expect immense backlash from the public.
A leader of the party revealed to Punch Newspapers that the party was not consulted before Buhari decided on the appointments.
“The President does not consult before making most of these appointments and I can tell you that Nigerians are going to term the party and the President as a northern party and the President of Northern Nigeria.”
Another APC leader said: “Though the President did not get much votes from the South-East but we must not neglect the zone in key appointments.
“Even the South-West that supported and was the backbone of the party, what are we giving the zone in appreciation? We need to be careful before the party is destroyed.”
Similarly, a member of the state executive of APC in a South-West state, said the appointments did not favour the southern region.
He said, “When President Olusegun Obasanjo took over, you saw balance in appointments as he reflected federal character. President Goodluck Jonathan too reflected a semblance of balance. Buhari is pursuing a northern agenda. This is the same agenda pursued by the late Sir Ahmadu Bello, when everything was pro-North. Buhari made six appointments at a go and five of them are northerners.”

Oshiomhole is not done yet, calls Orubebe a ‘shameless illiterate’ and 'common tout'

Shots fired, rifle recoils, shoot again.
This has been the story of Edo state governor, Adams Oshiomhole and former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godsdat Orubebe, in the past few days.
After the initial attack, rebuttal and counter attack, it is now the turn of Oshiomhole to issue the rebuttal of the counter attack.
Oshiomhole, in his latest offering, described Orubebe as a thug, with a low thinking faculty, who is making noise for the sake of his next meal ticket.
The governor called Orubebe an illiterate, who is shameless, unruly and thuggish.
Oshiomhole released his latestswipe through his Chief Press Secretary, Peter Okhira, on Thursday.
He said:
“Reading Godsday Orubebe’s infantile outburst saying that the governor of Edo State is a “garage boy,”  easily exposes the boondocks orientation and lowly mind of someone, who almost plunged the country into political anarchy in the last general election.
“But for the maturity and sound leadership orientation of Professor Atahiru Jega, Nigeria would still have been reeking in utter anarchy and political protestations. With such indecorous conduct coming from a man who ostensibly is an “Elder’ of a Church, calls to question the whole essence of his character, personality, upbringing and spirituality.
It easily underscores one of the reasons why the Goodluck Jonathan administration failed abysmally to understand the nexus between promise and performance, between problems and solutions, and above all between prosperity and poverty.”
“Orubebe is no more than a common tout and political thug, too illiterate to know the difference between a “garage” and a “motor park,” recruited by his paymasters as Deputy Director-General of the 2015 Goodluck/Sambo Campaign Organisation, and agent provocateur to truncate the last elections.
That singular conduct of his at the election is a living symphony of his egregious blunder, absurdities, incongruities and oddities, all of which are attributes of touts always desirous to make their voices heard.
“It is due to his amnesia that he forgot to understand that as a Nigerian and Governor of a State, Oshiomhole has statutory right to go in and out of the Presidential Villa to discuss issues that affect Edo State.
Former President Jonathan was President of Nigeria and not President of his party, the PDP.  He was under obligation to attend to all parties and persons irrespective of their political affiliation.
“The real problem of former President Jonathan was having people like Orubebe, who pigeon-holed him as president of the Ijaw nation and prevented him from appreciating the enormity of the challenges facing the Nigerian nation.
To further compound the challenges was the dénouement of his unruly and thuggish imputation during the elections, such tendentious character index that is now synonymous with this Niger-Deltan.” that notorious script; such a shameless role by a shameless father who was supposed to be a role model for good parenting.”
