History is made as Zambia gets first white President


Due to the death of Zambia's president, Micheal Sata, Vice President Guy Scott, 77 becomes the interim leader - making him the first white President of an African nation.

Dr Scott, who became vice president three years ago, will act as the President of Zambia untill the country goes for a presidential by- election said Defence Minister Edgar Lungu.

His boss, President Micheal Sata, died Tuesday in London while undergoing treatment for an unknown illness.

Bruce Jenner Rocks Red Nails On His 65th Birthday


The star of E!'s keeping up with the Kardashian was spotted cruising around Malibu Tuesday, while wearing nail polish and holding cigarette. 
He obviously gave himself a manicure.

Bruce has been experimenting with his look since his split with ex-wife Kris Jenner, in September 2013, sporting longer locks and oversized glasses.

When his ex-wife, Kris Jenner appeared on NBC last week, she was asked to refute or confirm multiple multiple tabloid stories claiming that Bruce is "developing into a woman"

"It's silly. They've been saying that since the 70s. You'd think it'd be cooked by now, I don't know- but [that storyline] keeps continuing....they keep bringing up the the same old stuff."  she said

Sammie Okposo bags S.Africa's biggest gospel awards nomination


Popular gospel artist and Glo ambassador, Sammie Okposo has been nominated in this year's Best of Africa category at the biggest South Africa gospel music awards,SABC Crown Music Awards.

Sammie Okposo is the only Nigerian artist nominated for the awards and in the same category with four revered African gospel artistes.

The award in its seventh year will be held at ICC Arena, Dureban on 23 November 2014.

Speaking about the nomination, Sammie said it is an honour and that the nomination came as a shock because he wasn't expecting it.


Fuper Falcons players get $18000 each for winning AWC


Players of Super Falcons received $18000 each, for emerging ing winners of theAfrican Women Championship. 

The Falcons beat Cameroon 2-0 in the finals lalast Saturday, to lift the trophy in Windoek, Namibia.

General secretary of the Nigeria Football Federation, Musa Amadu, revealed their rewards which was handed to them in the ministerial reception of the team in Abuja.

For the group stage matches, the girls got $3000 each. $4000 for winning the semifinals and $5000 for lifting the cup.
So they all together got $18000 bonus outside their camp allowances.

Elton John has called Pope Francis "my hero" for his push to accept gays in the Catholic church


American singer, Elton John, who is Gay, has called Pope Francis "my hero" for his push to accept gays in the Catholic Church. He made this remarks as he hosted his annual AIDS benefit on Tuesday night in New York.


He said the Pope Francis is pushing boundaries inside the church.

"He is a compassionate, loving man who wants everybody to be included in the love of God. It is formidable what he is trying to do against many, many people in the church. He is courageous and he is fearless, and that is what we need in the world today. He told the crowd. 


In July 2013, shortly after he became Pope, Francis made headlines when, in response to a question, he said; "if a person is Gay and seeks God and has good will, who am i to judge? 

A meeting held at the Vatican this month, failed to reach an agreement on welcoming gays. But the issue remains up for discussion ahead of another meeting of Bishops next year.

Ebola: House of Reps seek compensation for health worker's family


The House of Representatives has urged federal and state governments concerned to compensate the families of late Dr.Stella Adadevo and other health workers, who died of the Ebola virus disease.

A lawmaker, Olajumoke Okoya-Thomas, during a Tuesday seating, said that the gallant and patriotic role played by Dr. Adedevoh and her team in curbing the spread of the disease in Nigeria deserved to be rewarded.

The house also observed a moment of silence in their honour and urged Nigerian government immortalized the late doctor by naming a medical institution after her.

They also commended thee federal and state government for the effective action taken to halt the spread of the disease.

Micheal Sata, Zambian President Dead


Zambian president, Micheal Sata , 77, has died in London where he was receiving  medical treatment.

There was no immmediate confirmation from Zambian officials in the capital Lusaka.

The independent Zambian Reports quoted "multiple sources" among Sata delegation as confirming that he died, while Zambian Watchdog website said it had "100 percent confirmation" of the President's death.

Sata has long been rumored to be seriously ill and has not been seen in public for a long time.

He flew to London a week ago for treatment, skipping the country's Independence anniversary.

"That Is Not My House" - K - Switch reacts to "locking out" Babymama from Lekki home


Yesterday, the blogosphere was awash of a brewing drama between D'banj's younger brother/DB records artist, K-switch and his babymama, Meena as they reportedly locked her out of his Kekki home alongside her baby.
Blogger, who broke the news,claimed that Kayswitch babmama, Meena Subrami, stormed his home in Lekki Phase 1 on Tuesday afternoon, demanding to see him. But for some reasons still unknown, the security gurds wouldn't open the gate and she was there for about an hour.

Reacting to the report, Kayswitch in a chat with Ynaija,  insisted that there was no cause for alarm, adding that all was well with them.

"All is well between me and Meena. First of all, that is not my house. Two, i really don't know what she went looking for, but she wasn't looking for me. I still post a photo of them- Meena and my baby, on my instagram page, days back. They mean the world to me. All is well between us, I guess Linda was just looking or traffic.."

"How would you say she went looking for me when we live together, it's funny how the media loves to paint us celebrities in a negative way, it appears you have missed your name and that is why you decided to hit me with this rumor." He said.
