VIDEO: TB Joshua predicted S.Africa xenophobic attacks in 2013

A video clip has surfaced of Prophet TB Joshua warning South Africans in July 2013 of a "youth revolt" in their nation which would result in death of "certain people".

The video clip uploaded to his popular YouTube channel, Emmanuel TV, claims the controversial cleric prophesied about the violent xenophobic attack spreading across South Africa on Sunday 28th, July 2013.
In the nation, South Africa, we should help them in prayer because I am seeing youth revolt,” the clip quotes Joshua as saying. “It will be very serious. A situation where youth will come out and… you learn that there is a protest. Some people were killed – certain people.”
Joshua’s ‘bloody’ prediction made the front cover of South African newspaper ‘City Press’ in August 2013 when Julius Malema, the fiery leader of South Africa’s Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), visited his church in Nigeria for ‘spiritual blessings’.

The clip was posted alongside a message from Joshua to South Africans. “If we fail to see that there are powers that cause people to be bowed down in bondage, we are going to fight the wrong battle,” he wrote, in a statement posted on the Nigerian pastor's official Facebook page, followed by over 1.5 million people.

He then proceeded with a prayer for ‘calmness’ in the nation. “I pray for my nation, South Africa. As Jesus stood in the boat and commanded the storms to be calm, I stand in the midst of the storm in my nation, South Africa and I command the storm, wind and waves to be calm, in the name of Jesus! I speak calmness to my nation, South Africa, in the name of Jesus!

12 Ghanaian And Nigerian Immigrants Thrown Mediterranean Sea For Being Christians

The Italian police have released a statement saying twelve Nigerian and Ghanaian migrants were thrown overboard following a fight concerning their Christian religion yesterday.

The police said 15 African Muslim migrants have been arrested over the incident. The victims were reportedly“of Christian faith, compared to their attackers who were of Muslim faith,”police said in a statement, saying the 15 people arrested were accused of“multiple aggravated murders motivated by religious hate”.
National Mirror reports that the incident aboard a boat, which was carrying about 100 migrants, took place in the Straits of Sicily, between Tunisia and Italy.
According to a group of Nigerian and Ghanaian survivors, a fight broke out over religion, with a group of Muslim passengers threatening the Nigerians and Ghanaians after the latter – who were in the minority – declared themselves to be Christians.
“The threats then materialised and 12 people, all Nigerian and Ghanaian, are believed to have drowned in the Mediterranean,” the statement added.
According to the Italian media, the 15 migrants arrested over the attack on their arrival in Palermo were from Ivory Coast, Mali and Senegal.
Migration from North Africa to Europe by boat is a growing problem, with many thousands attempting the dangerous journey every year, resulting in hundreds of deaths.

Just so you know – there were to plans kidnap Prof. Jega during the elections (READ)

News agency, Reuters has just revealed a plot by some powerful elements in the country to kidnap every Nigerian’s man of the moment, Prof. Attahiru Jega.

According to the report, the attempt by a former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Elder Godsday Orubebe, on March 31 to scuttle the announcement of the March 28 presidential election results, was a plot to use hired thugs to kidnap the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission and consequently stall the electoral process.

Reuters however said it found no evidence to suggest that Jonathan, who accepted defeat in the election, was involved in the plot.

The news agency quoted unnamed pro-democracy advocates and a Nigeria-based diplomat as saying that one of Jega’s aides unearthed the plot.

It said that the aide had sent a text message to an independent voting monitor, “warning of an imminent threat to the electoral process.”

At that moment Jega was presiding over the announcement of the results, it became clear that APC was leading.

However, as Buhari’s lead grew, some PDP supporters from the Niger Delta, including Orubebe, decided on a final gamble: to create a disturbance in the main INEC hall and have “thugs snatch Jega from the stage, Reutersquoted the Head of the Situation Room and the Abuja-based diplomat.

What the group planned to do after the abduction was unclear, they said.

“It was a desperate thing, mostly by a group of people from the Niger Delta who were in the room,” the Situation Room head said, describing events that unfolded publicly in the minutes after he received the SMS.

When Jega opened proceedings on the morning of March 31, Orubebe had grabbed a microphone and launched into an 11-minute tirade accusing Jega of bias.
“Mr. chairman, we have lost confidence in you,” he shouted, pushing away officials trying to make him surrender the microphone. “You are being very, very selective. You are partial,” he continued, surrounded by three or four supporters. “You are tribalistic. We cannot take it.”
At this point, according to the Head of the Situation Room and the diplomat, Jega’s security details were approached by unidentified individuals telling them to stand down but they declined.
“Some of the guards who had been guarding Jega for years demanded a written order,” the Head of the Situation Room said.
Jega later rebuked Orubebe, saying, “Let us not disrupt a process that has ended peacefully,” he said as Orubebe slumped in his chair.

Orubebe later congratulated Buhari on Twitter, expressing his “apologies to fellow Nigerians.”

Customs finally release container carrying Obasanjo’s autobiography "My Watch"

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has announced the release of the container that was bringing in former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s autobiography, “My Watch” into the country.

The NCS Comptroller-General, Dikko Abdullahi, announced this in Lagos on Thursday.

Abdullahi said that the container was released following the vacation of an FCT High Court order restraining the former president from publishing, printing or offering for sale, his autobiography: My Watch on Tuesday.
“Customs got the initial order of the court to stop the container and now that the court asks us to release the container, so be it,” he said.
Justice Valentine Ashi had ordered the release of the books which had been in the custody of customs.

Ashi, in a ruling, upheld the argument by Obasanjo’s counsel, Kanu Agabi (SAN), that the court was misled into granting the orders on Dec. 5 and Dec.10, 2014.

The court had granted the orders on Dec. 5, 2014, restraining Obasanjo from publishing his book in the country pending the determination of suit against him by Mr Buruji Kashamu.

Despite the order of Dec. 5, Obasanjo proceeded to launch the book on Dec. 9 in Lagos, a development that prompted the court to make the orders of Dec. 10.

President Jonathan finally speaks on why he conceded defeat to Buhari(Must Read)

You think President Goodluck Jonathan is honorable for easily conceding defeat to President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari after the March 28 election, well this story will make you love him more.

During a meeting with the new ambassadors of France, Senegal and Ethiopia yesterday, Jonathan, who will be handing over to Buhari in a few weeks, stated that he was concerned about allowing his personal ambition scuttle a democratic system he helped nurtured, with the likely consequence of a “collective tragedy”.

Read his words below:
“Democracy has to be nurtured to grow. Strong democratic institutions are the backbone and future of our democracy. They must be protected and nurtured. As for me, as a matter of principle, it is always the nation first,
You need to have a nation before you can have an ambition. It should always be the nation first. You don’t have to scuttle national progress for personal ambition.
Since I assumed duty, I have been involved in quelling political crisis in some African countries and I know what they passed through and what some are still going through. If you scuttle a system for personal ambition, it becomes a collective tragedy,’’ President Jonathan explained.
