"Im Enjoying My Marriage" - Lara Oshiomole slams rumours she's divorcing her husband, Adams Oshiomole

Recently, it went viral that Lara Oshiomole, the wife of Edo state governor Adams Oshiomole, filed for divorce from her husband just months after their wedding, but Mrs Oshiomole’s spokesperson has released a statement refuting that claim.

The reports claimed Mrs Oshiomole was filing for divorce because her husband is too fetishistic, but the Executive Director, Media and Public Affairs, Governor’s Office, John Mayaki, has described the publication as “warped imaginations of the purveyor of lies.”
“The rumour mongers are well advised to find more productive engagements to deploy their energies rather than market inanities about public personalities all in their bid to sell their medium. Which Court of Law was the alleged divorce initiated and to whom was it served? Which country, state, municipal or county, if any, is the Court situated? And when was the action/suit filed? Of course the writers didn’t bother to inform their readers. The truth however is that the answers only exist in the warped imagination of the purveyors of the lies.”
The couple got married in Edo State in May 2015.

Anyone saying Chibok girls will return is lying – Obasanjo

Erstwhile President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo on Friday doubted the ability of the President Muhammadu Buhari’s Federal Government to rescue the abducted Chibok girls alive.
Speaking at an event organized by the Staff Club of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State,
Obasanjo affirmed that anyone saying the girls would return was simply lying.
Obasanjo’s reaction follows several promises by the current administration that it would rescue the abducted Chobok girls alive.
Obasanjo blamed the immediate past
President, Goodluck Jonathan for trivialising the distress call to rescue the girls on the day they were abducted.
He said, “The former president heard about the kidnap 8am in the morning of the abduction but failed to act
until 72 hours later and by then it was too late.”
“Anyone saying the Chibok girls will return is telling lies, maybe some of them will return to tell their
story.”

Popular Nollywood actor accused of lying about his health to get money(Photos)

About two days ago, news about raising N7m funds for veteran Actor Olumide Bakare, made the waves.

The actor who was diagnosed with heart and long related disease cried out at that time saying: “This is beyond me; I can no longer handle this on my own. I need financial assistance. Help me to beg Nigerians to help me so that I will not die. I need their prayers to survive this.”
According to reports, the actor claimed he needed 5 to N7 million to live again.
However, Best of Nollywood Tv, a site that shared the actor’s account details, has said the actor might be using his ill-health to milk good Nigerians. According to the site, the actor has already gotten N3.2m within 48 hours of the campaign and a politician is set to give him N3m.
But an audio conversation is said to be available where Olumide’s close friend spoke extensively about his true situation and in the conversation he alleged that the doctors in UCH told him that all he needs was less than 200,000 only.
When the actor was challenged, he said: “I don’t need the money of nollywood and if I have been here since January 18th without nollywood I will survive.”

Obasanjo and Tinubu must apologise to Nigerians – Etcetera

The problem today is that it is doubtful if the current administrative system under President Buhari, is imbued with the right mix of skills and values to successfully implement a well-articulated programme of change’ – Olusegun Obasanjo at the conference of Ibadan School of Government and Public Policy.
At what point did Obasanjo realise this ehn? After they have sold Nigerians to propaganda? If anyone should speak at this point, it shouldn’t be Obasanjo. It shouldn’t be someone who has his hands soiled with oil from the cookie jar. A man who did everything to remain in power for a third term? A man who was ready to alter the constitution to meet his personal and selfish interest? If anyone should speak right now, it shouldn’t be former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
He has robbed himself of the morality and right to criticise any government whether past, present or future. All the while people were screaming at the top of their voices that President Buhari was not qualified and didn’t have what it takes to lead us into eldorado, it was the likes of the former president that did everything possible to get him elected. So why come out now to challenge his capabilities? Isn’t this crying when the head has been cut off? Isn’t it too late?
Buhari is president already and in a democracy like ours, nothing can be done anymore until after four years. And Nigerians might as well brace themselves for the longest four years in our nation’s history. Four years of gnashing of teeth and hardship because of the mistakes of few individuals.
The CBN has started deduction of 50 naira from every transaction in the bank. Is that not robbery? Are we cursed with leadership? The government is supposed to alleviate the sufferings of its people but all this government has done is to increase the plight of ordinary Nigerians aided by CBN flip flopping policies.
The government of Goodluck Jonathan was crappy in all ramifications; in fact I strongly believe that if we must progress as a nation, the Goodluck Jonathan era in office should be probed. But looking at what we have today, the whole country is in tatters. Nothing is working. The CBN is confused, making policies today and rescinding them tomorrow. The naira is collapsing beyond recognition and repair. Nigerians are leaving the country in droves daily.
This is what Obasanjo and Tinubu have left us with.
A country said to be one of the world’s fastest growing economies just a couple of months ago has been thrown to the dogs. At the rate the naira is plunging, we are fast becoming another Zimbabwe where everyone is a billionaire but can’t afford a loaf of bread.
The likes of Olusegun Obasanjo and Bola Ahmed Tinubu must apologise to Nigerians for foisting Buhari on Nigerians. They must apologise to the nation for the present state of the economy. It is now crystal clear that all they wanted was to see the back of Goodluck Jonathan with no plan for the aftermath.
Since May 29th, we are still waiting to know the plan of this government. What is the blueprint? The country is on auto-pilot. Buhari contested for over eight years before becoming the president, and one would expect that a man vying for any position for that long would have sat down to analyse the problems in the system and have a solution at hand to guide him when he gets into office. But it is not the case with the current government.
We can see that they were only interested in seeing Goodluck Jonathan out of office. And I believe they never thought the man was capable of losing the election. They must have thought he was going to rig and remain in power at all cost, even to the detriment of the nation, like they would have done in his position.
In a sane country, former president Obasanjo would have retired quietly to a simple life after his bid for a third term in office collapsed in his face. And for some farfetched reasons, Buhari doesn’t seem to want or doesn’t seem to be capable of recognising that recycling politicians would only result in the failure of his government.
The president must ask himself what Obasanjo and Tinubu achieved in government? Are we not suffering today because of their mismanagement? Mr. President, if your war against corruption must be viewed as fair and not a witch-hunt, it must be extended to all and sundry.
Finally, the female soldier who gathered her colleagues to beat up a man for saying she is beautiful should be brought to book. Those soldiers should be dismissed immediately. Even an illiterate will not react to being called beautiful in such an animalistic manner. It is clear that our military men are ignorant of their role in the society. How do you beat up someone for saying you are beautiful? You don’t even need an education or common sense to know that “you are beautiful” is a compliment.
Public officials in uniform have embarrassed the nation enough. From corruption to drinking ogogoro in public in their uniforms, to beating and molesting people with the slightest provocation or no provocation at all, and smoking of Marijuana and collecting of bribes, fighting themselves publicly over bribes and so on, it is time the government looked into how these men in uniforms are trained.

Photos: Moment Obasanjo Prostrated Before Ooni Of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo in obeisance to cultural tradition and as a mark of respect prostrated before the new Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi during his visit on Friday to the palace of the royal father.

In line with Yoruba tradition, all subjects who appear before a monarch must prostrate as a sign of respect and the ex-President who is far more older was no exception.

Obasanjo, 82, was paying a courtesy call on the 41 year old monarch at his expansive palace in Ile-Ife, Osun State.

I sometimes wonder… why I came to rule ‘when they had spent all the money’ – Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday, revealed that he sometimes wonders why he chose to contest for the presidency, at this point in time when- the treasury had been looted dry, the economy is in shambles and the price of crude oil continues to nosedive.
Speaking on Friday, while addressing members of the Nigerian community in the United Kingdom, the President said even though he fought for his present position, he often ruminates on the timing.
The President however, said he continues to pray that God shows mercy on Nigeria as she faces tons of challenges from various quarters.
He said, “With the problems we have in this government, I sometimes wonder. At least, this time around, I asked for it, I prayed for it, I went round the country and I asked for it. But the first time under the military, I allowed the military to take decision.
“But I say why me? Why is it that it is when they have spent all the money, when they made the country insecure that I returned?
“Why didn’t I come when the treasury was full? Oil price was over $140 per barrel and when I came, it slipped down to $30. Why me?
“I keep on praying to God to pity Nigeria and its over 170 million people who are exposed to climate change, illiteracy and poverty.”

Rapper Tyga accuses Blac Chyna of being a bad mom, Seeks custody of their son

Rapper Tyga wants to fight his ex Blac Chyna in court for full custody of their son King Cairo after her arrest last week, according to a new report.

The former couple currently share custody of the toddler, but following her arrest for possessing ecstasy and “public intoxication” at Austin airport, Tyga is now planning to use this in a legal battle against the model, TMZ reports.

Sources close to the Rack City writer has told TMZ that he was shocked by Blac Chyna’s arrest and now he’s concerned that any problems the mother-of-one might have with drugs or alcohol could be putting their child at risk.

Tyga has reportedly filed legal documents to petition to change the current custody agreement and allegedly believes that Blac’s recent arrest proves that he’s more responsible as a parent than she is.

He is asking that he should have King during the week and only allow her visits at the weekends.

So…if this happens will Kylie step up as step-mom? How does that work?! Oh, and Tyga is apparently cool with Rob Kardashian dating his baby mama and playing with his son. He’s secure with his spot in his son’s life.
