Robbers disguised as soldiers raided FCMB Lekki, Killed 4 Policemen, 3 Others

About four policemen and three civilians were on Thursday shot dead at close range by some unknown gunmen dressed in military camouflage at the Lekki Phase 1 area of Lagos, after they had reportedly robbed a bank.
The gang members, numbering about 12, were said to have gained access to the bank using speedboats, with which they had crossed the channel.
Once they alighted from their speedboats, the heavily armed gang stormed the bank and allegedly made away with huge sums of money but not without some casualties.
Immediately they finished their operation, which reportedly lasted just about 25minutes, they hit the road to go back to their speedboat.
They were said to have released hails of bullet that hit  the four policemen, a member of staff of the bank, a nearby fish seller and a passerby.
The state Police Spokesman, Kenneth Nwosu, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, said the Commissioner of police has already swung into action in a bid to arrest the gunmen.
He said, "The Commissioner of police was there after the incident to ascertain what really happened. We are on top of it. But I can confirm that only three policemen were killed and no one else.
"The robbers attacked First City Monument Bank, Lekki. I can assure you that we would get the perpetrators. Full scale investigation has commenced.”

Jim Iyke fires multiple shots at Charles Novia, Segun Arinze… and yes, bloggers

Jim Iyke is the cover star for Glam Africa Magazine‘s Spring 2015 issue and in the interview, he held nothing back about his feelings for actor Segun Arinze, filmmaker/social critic Charles Novia and bloggers including Linda Ikeji.

His beef  with Charles Novia & Segun Arinze stems from their reactions to his September 2013 deliverance at TB Joshua’s Synagogue Church of All Nations which aired on the church’s Emmanuel TV and later went viral.

Arinze reportedly sent out a BBM broadcast calling the deliverance an “embarrassment” while Novia sent out a series of tweets questioning the authenticity of the deliverance.

About Novia & Arinze he said,
“I will deem it completely reprehensible if I say what happened was orchestrated like people suggested. Segun Arinze and Charles Novia, men that I respected a lot, came out to say something completely derogatory of what happened that day. I am not really cool with Novia, we have always been at odds with each other, and nobody asked his opinion on what happened to another actor. If you want to be relevant; direct movies and project your creativity, so people will respect you more. Do not involve yourself in people’s private issues, I don’t talk about your wife, I do not say she is overweight, nor do I talk about the fact that you need therapy. I do not talk about your personal issues though looking at you, I am sure you have enormous personal issues.”
About Arinze he said,
“I do not talk about Segun, I know one or two things about him like he knows about me. We are not that close so he has no authority to talk about what happened in my life. He used to be like a big brother, one that I respect, but he lost all that because of the way he went about this issue. I had people that shared my experience, people that were happy for me. I went there to get answers for something entirely different. There are things that happen in your life that if you don’t have the answers to, you go to a higher calling to make sense of it. When I got there, in a space of 5 – 10 minutes, something transpired and till this day I do not know what it is. They thought it was a PR gimmick that was to the gain of a synagogue church against one of Africa’s top celebrities, and they needed some sort of validity and authenticity, they believe I was used, well that is their opinion. You cannot choose your time and place with God, you do not have that authority, God chooses it. The medium with which it happened was through a man, but my focus is the architect, so let them focus on man and a make mockery of it, I do not care what they say, my focus is on God.”

He then moved on to bloggers!
“Oh Yes! They are bloggers that cannot feed themselves, and then all of a sudden someone informs them that with a few hits, money would be transferred into your account and it becomes an obsession. Any lives that get wrecked in the wake of that obsession, they do not care about. There are some good blogs out there, do not get me wrong. I am not a great fan of BellaNaija, but she is smart, she is articulate, and she knows what she is doing. Even when she attacks me or writes about me, you will know that there is the chance of a researched truth, though it may not be in its entirety. So, there are one or two good blogs out there that make an effort to research. Linda Ikeji is one of the lamest of them all, and some others that do not make any effort, they just cut and paste. There are people who are really trained for this job, they understand this job, people who are intellectually gifted as writers, yet they are taking food out of their mouths because of the new order of things. There is one they call Ladunme I call names if I want to, I do not care. This is stuff that fellow so called celebs want to talk about but do not have the balls to. This is part of the gains of already being labelled a black sheep, whatever I say now would not shock anybody. I just keep it real.”

Actor Kalu Ikeagwu Reveals Why He's Yet To Be Married

There is always something amiss when you see a handsome hunk single and Kalu Ikeagwu has finally decided to put most ladies out of their miseries by revealing why they aren’t his choice yet, in a recent interview with Encomium Magazine.
“I’m yet to find the right person to settle down with. I mean, that person that I love so much and want to spend the rest of my life with.”
“I will get married but let it be according to the will of God.  Marriage is an important institution, so it has to be the will of God. I want to be successful in my marriage just as I’m successful in my career.”
However, the time to walk down the aisle isn’t far off but it still solely depends on “when I find the right person and when I see the lady who is showing the right sign of a wife material.”
A lot of people have always been of the opinion that it is difficult for celebrities to find love and settle down but Kalu doesn’t seem to think.
“I don’t think it is difficult because with God all things are possible, in the sense that when you focus on God and allow Him to direct you, you will find the right person. But sometimes I think where it is difficult is because you need the right person who will give you the freedom you need and also respect you as a celebrity. This is where I think it is difficult. But to me, I don’t think it is difficult.”
Regardless, that ideal woman is all that Kalu wants and there are a lot of qualities that define such a person for him.
“Number one, she must have an unshakeable love for God as I do. And even if it’s the only thing she has, I am okay. But she must have the fear of God. She must also have a close relationship with God which is most important.”

Madonna Opens Up About Being Raped, Explains Why She Never Pressed Charges

Madonna may be one of the biggest pop stars in America music history.
But long before selling out arenas and millions of albums, she was just a girl with a dream who wanted to make it big in New York City.
In a candid new interview with Sirius XM's Howard Stern Show, the Rebel Heart singer opened up about her journey in music, how she was raped, amongst other things.
"First I was in shock, I didn't know a soul. I was saying hi to people on the streets like a dork." she said, explaining how it started.
And as months passed by, Madonna's apartment kept getting robbed, leaving her with very few items. One of the most scariest events, however, happened when her friendliness got her into a difficult situation.
"I was going to a dance class and the door was locked and I needed money for the payphone [A man] gave it to me… he was a very friendly guy. I trusted everybody."
As it turns out, the unnamed person persuaded Madonna to make her phone call across the street where he lived. What came next was most horrifying.
"I was raped," she proclaimed. "The first year I lived in New York was crazy."
When asked if she ever went to the police and filed charges, Madonna explained that the process was too overwhelming.
"You've already been violated," she explained. "It's just not worth it. It's too much humiliation."

Patience Jonathan stops Aisha Buhari from using Benin Stadium

Edo state governor, Adams Oshiomhole has intervened to settle what could have become a major affront between First Lady, Patience Jonathan and Aisha Buhari.

The pair were somehow, billed to use the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium on Saturday, March 14, for their respective rallies.
The APC had applied first and received approval, after which the PDP also applied, and were also given approval for the usage of the stadium on the same day.

A clash was imminent, but the Edo state governor waded in and ordered that the APC take the high road and allow PDP use the stadium.

The state Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Louis Odion, explained on behalf of Oshiomhole.
“The mix-up was occasioned by the laxity on the part of the officials of the Ministry of Sports who, without reference to their supervisors, proceeded to collect money and issue receipt only yesterday (Tuesday) to PDP for use of the stadium knowing fully well that APC had last week applied and received approval for the use of same facility on Saturday.”
“In fact, jingles were already running on local television and radio stations announcing that the wife of APC’s presidential candidate would be in Benin that day to deliver the message of change to Edo women.”
“For the avoidance of doubt, we wish to state that being the owner of the said facility, Edo State Government reserves the right to insist that the party that got approval first would use the stadium.”
“In the circumstance, we imagine the idle denizens of Edo PDP must by now be salivating at the prospects of having an opportunity to unleash mayhem on peace-loving people of Edo State with the excuse that money was collected from them. But we are civilized people.”
“In deference to the office of the First Lady of Nigeria, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole has graciously directed that Mrs. Patience Jonathan have her day on Saturday while the wife of the APC presidential candidate will have her turn another day.”

FFK believes Buhari will legalise same sex marriage in Nigeria if elected

Femi Fani-Kayode, spokesperson of President Jonathan’s campaign, has alleged that the APC presidential candidate,  Muhammadu Buhari, if elected president, will consider scrapping anti-gay or anti-homosexual legislations and also support legislation that would allow same sex marriage in the country.

Fani Kayode claims that Buhari made a committment to do this, when he recently solicited support and endorsement from the leaders of four western countries.
“He had talks with the representatives of at least four western countries. The leaders of those countries made an offer to General Muhammadu Buhari and we are reliably informed that he has put the offer under consideration.
“The proposition and offer was that if he was prepared to support legislation in Nigeria to allow same sex marriage and if he was prepared to repeal the anti-gay laws in Nigeria they will, in return, endorse, support and fund him, initially covertly and eventually publicly, at the right time. Instead of him to say NO he assured them that he would consider these two things.”
“We believe that this is a matter that ought to be brought to the attention of the Nigerian people as a matter of urgency. They are considering this despite the fact that the overwhelming majority of the Nigerian people find same sex marriage and, indeed, homosexuality repugnant and unacceptable.”
“We are using this occasion to challenge General Buhari to come clean and to tell the Nigerian people whether this is true and whether, in the unlikely event of his being elected President, he is seriously considering scrapping the anti-homosexual laws in our country and pushing through new legislation which would allow same sex marriage.”

Fashola wants GEJ to denounce wife's hate speeches

Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State has challenged President Goodluck Jonathan to dissociate self by denouncing what he called “hate speeches’ by his wife Patience Jonathan and others that could lead to electoral violence ahead of the elections scheduled for March 28 and April 11.

Fashola made the statement yesterday, during a courtesy visit by the officials of NHRC at the Lagos House, Marina, led by its chairman, Odinkalu to seek the Governor’s support on the need to avoid violence and ensure free and fair contest in the forthcoming elections.

“When some people say if the president did not win an election, this will happen and the president kept quiet, what message is he sending to Nigerians? He is telling us that we are not safe if he doesn’t win. The president must speak up and reassure Nigerians that the country must be safe no matter the outcome of the election. That is his responsibility.”
“It is not enough to sign a peace accord but to act it. If the president wants to campaign in any state 24 hours, he is allowed but there are things he must publicly dissociate himself from.”
“He must publicly dissociate himself from his wife’s inciting comments, he must. He must disown them and his leadership will be defined by whether he does it himself or ask his aides to go and say it. When all is said and done, this election will define his tenure for many reasons.”

“I have cried real tears of frustration” – This words by Omoni Oboli will really inspire you (READ)

Nollywood actress/producer, Omoni Oboli, has penned some inspirational words on her blog.

In the post titled ‘Let go and let God’, Oboli talks about how she handled challenging times, among things.

Read her post below:
“I once heard a story about someone who fell into a pit and was hanging on to a branch, which was holding him from falling all the way down. In his fear, he cried out for someone to help him. He heard a voice call out to him. Excitedly, he asked, ‘who’s there?’. The voice answered, ‘It’s me God’. He was very happy! ‘Oh thank you God, if anyone can help me, it’s You!’ ‘Ok my son’ God replied. ‘Let go of the branch’. ‘Let go of the branch?’ He asked incredulously. ‘Yes son, let it go’. He looked down and saw a never-ending black hole. ‘Help,’ he cried. ‘Is there anyone else up there?”
“Many times in our lives things happen that we don’t understand. You are just about to get a big job, or a business deal and at the last minute it doesn’t fall through. You cry out in your frustration to God and don’t seem to get a favourable reply. I cannot tell you how many times I’ve been so close to a deal, I could literally smell the money and pecks that come with it, only to have it pulled out from under me.
“I have cried real tears of frustration and mourned those jobs and deals, sometimes for weeks, wondering why. All things work together for good, right? What is the good in a deal that will bring good money and perks just going away like that? What is the good in losing a loved one? When I lost my mom, I just couldn’t get it! What could the good be?!!! It’s been almost 13 years and I dare say I don’t know what good came out of it but over the years, I have come to let go and let God.”
“Many times, a much bigger and better deal comes that wipes the tears of the deal I lost. Other times, nothing comes but I have learnt to trust that He knows what’s best for me and he makes all things beautiful in His time. It doesn’t mean I don’t hurt or even cry (yeah, I cry about stuff like that. I am human after all…lol!) but after wiping my tears, I tell myself ‘it’s working for my good’. It always is all part of God’s grand plan for my life. I am not perfect. Far from it! I make mistakes everyday.”
“Sometimes they are not even mistakes, I do the wrong thing knowing fully well that it is wrong but hoping it won’t matter in the end. I just came by to encourage someone including myself that if we could just let go and let God, all things will work together for our good. Sometimes, the ‘good’ might not be what we had hoped for or envisaged, but because none of us knows tomorrow, it’s still best to let go and let God! Don’t forget to leave your comments or share your own experiences. I am loving them! Love always!.”

Kanye West Addresses Reports His Laptop Was Stolen

Yesterday, it went viral that Kanye West's laptop was allegedly stolen and some private files have fallen into the wrong hands.
MTO reported that, the thieves found something(a sex tape) they wanted to sell.  A threesome including Kanye, Kim and another lady.

But it turns out Kanye's files are safe. His rep released the following statement....
“The stories circulating that Kanye West’s laptop has been stolen are completely false. His laptop has never been out of his possession. Hence, the laptop has not been hacked, and there has been no leak of personal data such as unreleased music, photographs, designs, videos or any other personal files. The leak today of the unreleased track “Awesome” was unrelated and completely coincidental.”
