'Them Go Die!'; Comedian, Ali Baba Cuss Out Nigerian Politicians On Twitter

Veteran comedian, Ali Baba took to his social median pages to cuss out politicians this morning.
Read his messages after the cut....

“I don’t understand some NIGERIANS at all these days. We all want good governance. So we go to the polls to elect someone who will give us good governance. Which of course is why they were voted in.
“But just in case, the person gets there, and forgets why we voted him into power, and he begins to enrich himself and swim in corruption, I pray the elected official will not see his ripe old age. He will die before his time.
“And if you are more concerned about the fact that I have prayed that whoever gets to an elected office and doesn’t deliver on election promises should die, then that tells me, that the reason you voted for him is for him to steal or make room for you to steal.
“I do not wish any of our leaders bad. But anyone of our leaders who get into office and decides to steal or aid corruption, he will experience bad things and will be carried out of office in a stretcher, DOA!
“So, if you are not wicked you should be praying for them to deliver on their campaign promises not praying they will remain after stealing our money. Any leader that steals money meant for the people, will end up terribly!

Our leaders are sycophants who chase after politicians for favours - John Okafor(Mr Ibu)

Nollywood actor, John Okafor popularly known as Mr Ibu has taken a swipe at Actors Guild of Nigeria(AGN), calling the leaders sycophants who chase after politicians for favours.

He said this, in a recent interview with ThisDay Newspaper.
Hear him; “Nollywood is suffering from so many problems. One of these problems is the sycophancy from the industry’s leaders, the people in power. I mean the people running the industry are just running after politicians.
“Nollywood as a whole don’t have good leaders. All they do is attach themselves to politicians and seek for political office instead of restructuring the industry. We don’t even have a standard office; we are not united and we are not financially structured. You can ask the upcoming stars how they cope; they will tell you the truth of what they pass through to have a role in a movie, especially the ladies. Some of them have abandoned their education to become movie makers. Our leaders are just using and dumping. I mean they are just using the upcoming artistes to act movies and achieve their aims. Sometimes they feature them in their movies without paying them.
“Recently, the Akwa Ibom State Governor, His Excellency, Godswill Akpabio, donated N50million to Nollywood. But till date no one can give accurate account of how the money was shared. I, as Mr. Ibu, did not get a kobo from that money, talk less of others. Some people that claimed they are veterans in the industry just grabbed all the money and put it into their pocket. That is to tell you how greedy our leaders in the industry can be. They just went there collected the money and shared it among themselves. Without letting anybody know.
“How do we go forward with that kind of attitude? We don’t have a secretariat; we don’t have a training centre for Nollywood. We don’t even have a school that young actors and actresses can benefits from. All they know is to run after governors and the president to collect money. Now, they are using the Actors Guild of Nigeria as another medium of collecting money from people. Is the guild not supposed to help its members? After all, members pay to register. Some female upcoming actresses even go out of their ways to look for money to join the AGN because they want to be connected.
Speaking further, he said;   “I don’t want to join those that bother the government. I don’t want to been seen as a beggar because I want a political appointment. I still want people to respect me, by letting my work to speak for me. I will only go to a Government House when I am invited by the Governor himself not to go and beg for a favour all in the name of AGN. I am from Enugu State. But do you believe I am not too close to my governor? I know I have been there twice. First time was when I went there to defend a tape in the press unit.
“I didn’t even go to the governor’s main office. Second time was when my friend and my brother, Afam Okereke, was appointed as the SSA to the governor on media issues. And he invited me to come and celebrate with him. That is the second time I went to the office of the governor of my state. On my own, I have never visited the governor and I will never go begging for favour because I am a Nollywood actor or AGN member. I left AGN, for a better reason and I am not regretting it today.”
When asked how he will respond if he gets an invitation from the government, he said;  Yes, I will respond; that is because I am invited by him. I am waiting for that day to come. But as for me to disguise as an AGN member or sycophant to seek for his assistance, that I cannot do and will never do.  I don’t want to be embarrassed by any politician. I know many of my colleagues that they have chased out of the Government House because they were looking for assistance. I am a proud actor and I command respect for myself. I am not a broke ass. I am a famous actor –a very good one who earns a great pay. Why then should I belittle myself because I need attention or I am looking for financial assistance? It is not possible.  If my governor needs me he will invite me, then, I will honour him.”

Buhari's Supporters are Stupid, Desperate and Unrealistic- Etcetera writes

Read Etcetera's strong worded memo to supporters of APC presidential candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari.

Stupid is a word that has a broad range of applications, but it generally means a person lacks rudimentary intelligence or the ability to reason. It can also imply a congenital lack of capacity for reasoning, or a permanent state of daze or slow-mindedness. However one defines or applies the word stupid, you can hardly think of the word without directly relating it to the utterances of some Buhari’s supporters; especially the supposedly literate ones.
Over the past week, it became apparent that the level of stupidity inherent in those inclined to support certain politicians at all cost is beyond comprehension. In fact, it is frightening that so many Nigerians of voting age lack the fundamental reasoning ability of a second-grader and are even less-informed about basic facts than a kindergarten.
I have heard some of the most bizarre ideas peddled by some Buhari’s supporters and I am really concerned about the future of this country. I have heard troubling statements like: “It really doesn’t matter if Buhari is qualified or not, he must be the next president and we’ll vote for him. Even if he presents a NEPA bill as certificate, we don’t care, we will vote for him. Are these people for real?
To base your position on whatever absurdity your favourite candidate espouses; regardless of reality is the reason why we are in this hell of a nation. These are exactly the type of supporters Nigerian politicians bank on to win elections. These goons should know that in a democratic system, we live by the constitution and the Nigerian constitution in section 131 (d) gives a specific order for all presidential candidates to show proof of education up to a minimum standard not below school certificate or its equivalent.
If Buhari doesn’t have the required qualification, he should be disqualified immediately or if it is proven that his certificate or result was doctored or forged, he should be arrested and charged to court for deception.
Atahiru Jega and his INEC got us into this embarrassing position. How can someone refer INEC to the Secretary of the Military Board for his credentials when it is stated clearly that every contestant should attach copies of their qualification to their forms? INEC is a joke. If elections are conducted like job interviews, can the applicant direct his would-be employers to his previous work place for his credentials? Won’t the applicant be chased off the premises with a stick or security dogs?
How do we bring about the clamoured “change” in the nation when we can’t treat the nation's business as ours? Nobody is saying you shouldn’t support Buhari or any candidate of your choice but it shouldn’t be based on sentiments of any kind.
The other day, a radio presenter was screaming like a banshee on radio of how Buhari is a man of great ideas, you shouldn’t be the one telling us what Buhari’s ideas are. As a radio presenter, it is against NBC regulations for any presenter to influence listeners’ votes. Buhari should sell himself convincingly enough to earn their votes. Aren’t we tired of having leaders who can’t sell their ideas themselves? That’s why they haven’t approached the subject of how they are going to revive the economy in any of their campaign speeches?
Let’s not be stupefied into supporting any candidate. We are screaming for a corrupt free nation, yet we are refusing to see that electing someone without the required qualification is as good as endorsing corruption. No one would want to admit that half of this country’s population is inherently stupid, much less ignorant, but at the rate politicians garner votes based on sheer fantasy and lies, there is no other conclusion that makes any sense whatsoever. One thing is certain; if Nigerian voters were not so stupid, they would not knowingly go against what is right, whether for their personal, ethnic or religious interest. Our politicians know that without stupid people, most of them would be extinct as viable political forces. But they are far from going extinct and it is all down to the level of stupidity permeating this sad ignorant nation.

Fan Writes Open Letter To D'banj As He Marks 10th Year Anniversary

As the Koko master is set to kick-off his 10th anniversary celebration in Lagos today, which will be  hosted by Amber Rose, a fan who calls himself, Koko pikin has written him an open letter.

Praising D'banj in the letter, he referred to him as Africa's greatest entertainer.
Check it out after the cut....

DECADE OF GLORY: THE MEMOIRS OF AN ENTERTAINER
To The KokoMaster,
D’banj,
Music is a difficult thing to define and individuals have different meanings for this word. However, it is undeniable that music is an art of some sort, a mixture of rhythm, words and acoustics carried through the wind by the magic of the moment in which it occurs. Some people redefine music and by so doing, define an era by their uniqueness, infectious charisma and undeniable passion for this art.
Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, is an enigma that defies all attempts to completely define him. You have blazed a trail in the annals of music on this continent and even beyond throughout your scintillating career. It has been a journey of ups and downs, breaking conventions and rewriting the rules in your own style and giving people like me the privilege of watching Africa’s Greatest Entertainer. Perhaps even more astounding is the ease with which you have kept audiences on their feet, blowing their minds away with your unique blend of vocal dexterity and life-based lyrics. Indeed it has been a decade of pure excellence, sheer class and extravagant performances from the Koko Master.
Your rise to prominence is no accident and those who were privileged to listen to you play the harmonica can attest to the hard work, dedication and sheer belief that has catapulted you to the zenith of your profession today. Asides from your undeniable contribution to the musical industry in Nigeria, it is the impact you have made outside the shores of this country and even the continent that stands you out among your peers. From your maiden award at the 2005 Kora Awards to the well-deserved Best Newcomer award bagged at the 2006 Channel O music awards, it was obvious that the trajectory was only going up from there. You kept on turning out hits despite the euphoria of past triumphs and the challenge of surpassing previous accomplishments. It is only fitting that you have a trophy cabinet littered with an avalanche of international, continental and domestic honours to show for your laudable efforts.
Moreover, your status as an outstanding entrepreneur is matched only by your passion for youth development in Africa. The Koko Foundation and the burgeoning ONE campaign are just examples of your foray into the field of selfless service. Every step you take is more than a milestone, signing a lucrative deal with the trendy audio company BeatByDre is more of pace setting as the First African Ambassador of Apple. As Nigeria’s first United Nations Youth Ambassador for Peace, you remain a beacon of hope in this troubled period. There are many ways to describe a man of excellence, a man of many parts, an enigma worthy of adulation and genuine adulation. I stand in awe of your existence as a human being and all you have achieved against the odds. It has been my greatest pleasure to be one of your biggest fans and to dream that one day, I can attain heights such as yours. You have proved that the sun can be reached even if the stars seem closer. I want to say thank you for giving me the opportunity to witness your magic at close quarters. Other men it is said have seen the angels, but I have seen thee and thou art enough.
As you celebrate your 10th Year Anniversary in the Music Industry, may God Almighty make you greater as the well of your favour and grace shall not dry. You shall not fail, or stumble, and may God grant and always replenish your wisdom, knowledge and understanding. Welcome to another decade of multiple greatness. God bless you D’banj.
Long Live DKM Media, Long Live DbanjRecords, Long Live TeamDbanj, Long Live D’banj.
Yours Faithfully,

Justin Bieber Fan Falls Out Of A Moving Car While Chasing The Singer[Photos]

Justin Bieber pops his head out of his car after spotting Larry King on the street on Friday morning (January 30) in Los Angeles.

The 20-year-old singer stopped for a minute to chat with the legendary talk show host and was spotted by a fan who jumped out of her mom’s car to try and meet her idol, according to photographers on the scene.

Before she could get to Justin, his car was already pulling away and she ran back to her mom’s car to chase after the star. Unfortunately, the girl didn’t get all the way into the car before her mom started pulling away and she fell out of the car and onto the road. Hope she’s okay!
