Why I Cant Do Without Nadia Buari - Jim Iyke

Nollywood actor, Jim Iyke recently had an interesting interview where he talked about his undying love for his girlfriend, Nadia Buari and his addiction to sunglasses and sneakers.

Talking about the Ghanaian actress who has stolen his heart, he said;
"Nadia is a solid, down-to-earth woman. I'm a man that translate variables in ways many people find incomprehensible. We have embraced who we are and learnt to create our own world and expectations. We have ups and downs like every other couple.
We have our strength and weakness as well. At the end of the day, rumours of break ups and makes-up ought to abound. It really doesn't matter. A relationship is a continuous work. Those that give up were perhaps not committed enough."

"Those that go in for the long haul suck up and square up to the variables life throws at them. The people that judge harshly are obviously the ones that live far from their desired lives. We just live the best way we know how and leave the rest to the author and finisher of all things."

About his fashion sense and love for sunglasses he said;
"I have about 150 sunglasses. I think i own about 200 pairs of shoes and sneakers and it is not something to brag about. I like shoes and i collect them. I get shoes that are much branded and are limited edition.
For me, it is not just about making a fashion statement anymore, it is art."

I am not super human, I am afraid of death too, says Pastor Adeboye

The general overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye has said that those who think men of God are super human, should have a rethink.
He recently told his church members that he was vulnerable to fear, including other human weaknesses.

Ministering at the November monthly Holy Ghost Service with the theme "Great Expectations" Pastor Adeboye revealed he was gripped with the fear of death during one of his trips overseas.

In his words; "Contrary to what many of you think, i am human and have my fears too. There were times i have had cause to fear and doubt because i am human but God always ended up disappointing my fears and doubts."

"In one of my trips with the then Nigeria Airways, the pilot had announced when we were already airborne, that there were indications that the plane would crash-land. Immediately the pilot made the announcement, i was afraid and as if that was not enough, he said there were expert fire fighters who would put out the fire when the plane crashes."

He noted that there are some things that will happen to people that will make them to be really afraid, "annointing or no annointing".

"When God gave me that assurance that we will not die, that He only wanted to have a conversation with me, i felt relaxed and as God would have it, the Lord took charge of the plane and we landed safely."

He remembered a similar situation;
"In another of my travels, the pilot had announced that there would be a lot of storm at the arrival terminal going by the weather report. The implication is that there will be trouble while landing."

"When i heard the announcement, i knew God was in charge. I took the little meal they served because i ride economy; but the man that sat beside me could not eat. I asked why he was not eating and he replied; So you understand English. Didn't you hear what the pilot just said, that there will be a lot of storm at landing because of bad weather. I said i heard. He was confused thinking what kind of human being is this? But he insisted he was not going to eat. So i offered to help with his food since i was still hungry and he freely gave me his food."

"I ate the food and slept off. God took charge. By the time we were about to land, the pilot announced the the weather forecast was wrong. We got down safely. I looked at the face of the man sitting beside me and he looked at me and laughed. But then, the Lord told me that the weather forecast was not wrong, that He was the one who diverted the storm."

My Mother Was Against My Political Ambition - Kate Henshaw

Nollywood actress-turn-politician, Kate Henshaw claims her mother was not ecstatic about her joining politics.
Henshaw, who is vying for a seat at House of Representatives to represent Akpabio Bakassi consistency, says her mother is totally against her venturing into politics, and even initially refused to pray for her.

In a recent interview with Daily Trust, Kate Henshaw said; "My mum said 'no way'. I told her to pray for me and she said she wasn't going to, so i told her I'd pray for myself. Some cousins of mine in Calabar then called her and told her to encourage me, that what i want to do is good.
She told me someone else should go into it, and they asked her why someone else should. They told her i should do it because it would be good for the state. She finally agreed."

"Friends have also been supportive. They say I'm strong. They also say this is my kind of thing because i fight for people. But they advised me to be careful because politics is dirty. I told them the only way things will get better is if good people get inside. One can only change things if inside, not from the outside."

Kate Henshaw also defends the current rush into politics by entertainers saying; "As long as they are credible and willing to work for the people, they are within their rights to contest."
