N100 Notes: Jonathan Fires Back At MURIC, Says Muslim Group Is Making Spurious Claims

Recently, just after the new N100 notes was unveiled, Muslim group(MURIC) raised alarm over the Jewish symbol on the new notes, accused President Jonathan of trying to promote a Zion nation.
Now, the president has decided to react to that.

On Monday, President Jonathan refuted the allegations made against him by the Muslim Right Concern (MURIC) that a Jewish symbol on the proposed commemorative N100 note, which will be officially issued on December 19, was a ploy to promote a Zion nation.

The  President in his reaction explained that, while the purported symbol MURIC's statement was referring to the Star of David, "there's no where on that note as indicated in the specimen that has widely publicized, where there is any Jewish or Zionist symbol or the Star of David."

Speaking through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Dr Reuben Abati, the President accused MURIC of attempting to cause disaffection because of the design of the note, noting that, "the value of the note is written out in the three major languages of Nigeria - Yoruba, Hausa and Igbo."

He further said, no attempt has been made to use this proposed N100 note to discriminate anybody and the attack on the President is undeserved, unwarranted and totally unkind.

"I believe that MURIC will see the need to quickly apologize for misleading the public and for issuing that  the kind of statement that can cause disaffection against the President."
