Popular yoruba Nollywood actress, Toyin Aimakhu has issued a warning to her fans on Instagram saying anyone who talks about her marriage in the coming year will get blocked.

The actress who got a lot of mentions last year due to news regarding her broken marriage to colleague turned lover, Adeniyi Johnson, has stated for the umpteenth time that she has moved on with her marital life.

She wrote: “I appreciate you all and I love you all pls it’s just few hours to 2016,pls from 12am if anyone comes to my page to talk about anything about marriage or home,I’m deeply sorry but will be force to block the person…Nigeria is the only country where women don’t support each other,even the ones that wants to support they will attack them pls let’s support ourselves alot of pple are dieing but shy to come out cos of what fellow women will say,pls let’s support and love ourselves,happy new year in advance.”

Its unclear if she has officially divorced her husband even though fans keep pestering her to go back to him after he allegedly cheated on her with another colleague.

A Sitting Governor Will Die In 2016 - Prophet unveils predictions for the new year

According to a statement signed by the media adviser to the President of  Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleiman, Nigeria will witness many heart rending political developments this year.

The cleric said a sitting governor of one of the 36 states of the federation will not see the end of the new  year, declaring:

“We have to pray, if not a governor of one of the 36 states may not see the end of 2016, ” in a prediction which is one of his 30 Shocking Predictions for the Year 2016.

He also predicted that scores of President Muhammadu Buhari’s ministers may be absent from cabinet meetings for a good part of the year for health related issues.
According to him:

“ I don’t see some Ministers in President Buhari’s Cabinet in office in 2016. They will be abroad for medicals”.

Apostle Suleman also warned the United States of America against possible terrorist attacks in the cities of Washington and New York.

He also predicted the possibility of an epic political upheaval in the United States, the outcome of which may be unimaginable. He said President Barack Obama may seek a third term in office, a move which will throw up  issues relating to marital laws.

Apostle Suleman also said the United States may go to war with Russia in 2016

FG To Create Atleast One Million Jobs This Year- VP, Osinbajo

The Federal Government will create no fewer than one million direct jobs in 2016, the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, has said

A statement by Laolu Akande, his Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Media and Publicity, quoted Mr. Osinbajo as saying that another one million poor Nigerians would benefit from the first phase of the Conditional Cash Transfer Scheme.

The VP made the remark during an interactive session with a cross section of Nigerian Community in Burkina Faso.

2016 is the year of change – Buhari tells Nigerians in new year message

President Muhammadu Buhari has described 2016 as the year Nigerians will begin to witness the ‘change’ they voted for.

This was contained in his new year message.

He called for support from all Nigerians, assuring that his electoral promises would be fulfilled beginning from 2015.

The statement in full below:

“Fellow citizens,

“Welcome to the beginning of a New Year of the continuation of CHANGE in our beloved nation.

“I am aware that Nigerians have experienced a number of significant hardships over the past months. Living in the State House has not alienated me from your daily sufferings. I am aware of the lengthy queues at fuel stations and of the difficulties businesses have faced in acquiring foreign exchange. These challenges are only temporary; we are working to make things better.

“When I presented myself to you as a presidential candidate and asked you to vote for me, I wanted to be a leader who keeps his promises. I wanted to be a leader who restores the people’s hope in those elected to serve them. I wanted to be a leader who initiates positive and enduring CHANGE.

“I am still totally committed to being that kind of leader. Unforeseen circumstances and other distractions notwithstanding, I shall still do my utmost best to keep every promise I made to Nigerians during my election campaign.

“In the past seven months since our inauguration on May 29, 2015, my administration has focused on laying the right foundation for the CHANGE you voted for during our historic presidential election.

“Nigerians will in due course begin to enjoy the fruits of all our ongoing work. The effective and efficient implementation of our 2016 budget proposals will address many of the socio-economic issues that are of current concern to our people.

“One area in which Nigerians, especially those in the northeast, have already begun to experience major CHANGE is in the war on terror.

“I commend our Armed Forces for significantly curtailing the insurgency which has ravaged the northeast of Nigeria over the past few years. However, there is still a lot of work to be done in the area of security.

“Our Armed Forces will maintain, consolidate and build on their successes in the war against Boko Haram and violent extremism.

“This government will not consider the matter concluded until the terrorists have been completely routed and normalcy restored to all parts of the country that have been adversely affected by the Boko Haram insurgency.

“Our crackdown on corruption will continue to be vigorously undertaken. I urge the courts to support our efforts and help in the recovery of stolen funds by speedily concluding trials and showing that impunity no longer has a place in our country.

“There is much work to do in other areas as well and I have charged all my ministers and other appointees to ensure that Nigerians experience positive changes in their lives in 2016.

“We must reduce our country’s reliance on oil. We must diversify our economy. And we must do all we can to promote job creation.
