There’s nothing wrong in posing nude as a model – MBGN, Precious John

Precious John, the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria, Model of the Year 2014 has stated that there is nothing wrong in posing nude as a model.
According to the 22 year-old Mass Communication student of Lead City University, Ibadan, whose nude picture sparked controversy online recently, nudity is part of her portfolio and she can do it again to keep her profession going.
She told Punch that though her mum doesn’t like the idea of nudity, she had to convince her that it is part of her career.

According to her, “Alek Wek is an African model and she has nude pictures, Naomi Campbell has posed nude several times. I have posed nude before and it is part of my portfolio. My mum did not like it, but I had to explain to her that it was something I needed to do. After all, I am above 18. My nude pictures are part of my portfolio. I am a model and a model is like a mannequin. I would pose nude again if there is need for me to.
When asked if she’s ready for any relationship, the model said, “When I am ready, I pray to get a good man because every lady deserves one. I want someone that is God-fearing and understanding. He has to be good looking too. He must be comfortable but not extremely wealthy. I want a man that we can build our fortune together.”

How my marriage stayed intact despite the scandals – Actress Foluke Daramola

Popular actress of the Yoruba movie industry, Foluke Daramola-Salako, has had her fair share of controversies especially over her marriage to Kayode Salako.

Last Sunday was a double celebration for the couple as they marked their second wedding anniversary and the actress’ birthday. In a chat with Saturday Beats, the busty actress explained how she coped with the negative stories.
    She said:
“I am excited and happy that I am a year older and my marriage is waxing stronger. God has been faithful. I’m grateful to God for good health and a happy marriage. Definitely, my husband and I would be together forever. It is not because of what people say butbecause of the conviction that I have and what my husband and I feel for each other. We know that we are meant to be in this marriage. Even in the midst of the storm, controversy and scandal, we still knew what was binding us together was true love which is well rooted in Christ. It is not based on the facade of celebrity marriages. It is beyond all that and we both knew that we would be married forever no matter what.
She further explained that as a woman, anytime she read negative news about her marriage, she felt bad but her husband was always there to support her.
“Whenever I read any bad news about us, I felt bad. But Kayode wouldn’t feel bad because he was convinced about what we feel for each other. I felt bad because it was not me that was portrayed in those stories.
The fact that I have feelings for someone and the person feels the same way about me and we both have a past that we are moving beyond does not make us bad people. The way they made it seem to the outside world was like I was a bitch that just wanted to be wicked. I was trying to be happy. My husband and I felt bad but he had to be bold and brave for both of us. He had to be a man and he handled it very well. He helped me overcome it and I thank God that it is over,” she said.
She assured that all is well between her family and their estranged spouses.
“Everybody is fine now. Everything is cool with our ex because we believe that we disagree to agree. Just because it did not work with one person does not mean it would not work with another person. All parties involved are mature about it and so far, everybody is happy.

Obasanjo snubs reconciliatory moves by Jonathan, PDP

A purported move to reconcile former President, Olusegun Obasanjo and President Goodluck Jonathan might have hit the rocks as indications reveal that the former president shunned the peace move made by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and President Goodluck Jonathan.
Sunday Punch is reporting that Jonathan and the leadership of the PDP had planned to meet with the former President as part of the President’s visit to Ogun State on Friday. But, the former President, who had got wind of the peace move, travelled to Gambia on Thursday.
However, it was unclear if the two-time President had plans to attend the Gambia event before Jonathan’s visit.
It was reliably gathered that Obasanjo would have been part of the closed-door meeting Jonathan had with some Ogun State traditional rulers on Friday, but for his absence from the country.
An informed Presidential staff, who also spoke on condition of anonymity, disclosed that the former President deliberately decided to travel out of Abeokuta to avoid meeting with Jonathan on Friday owing to his disenchantment with the current President.
His words, “I can tell you authoritatively that Baba’s (Obasanjo) problem with the President and the PDP is the promotion of Kashamu.”
“I will consider withdrawing my activity with PDP at local, state, zonal and national levels until the anomalous and shameful situation is corrected,” he had said.
The aide maintained that rather than address Obasanjo’s complaint, the PDP had appointed Kashamu the Chairman of its Mobilisation Committee in the South-West.
