Air traffic controllers have suspended the strike action that had grounded all domestic flights since Thursday, April 16.
However, the union warned that a more severe strike action would be embarked on next week if their demands were not met.
Yakubu Dati of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), told AFP that: “The strike was a warning strike. Normal flights have now resumed.”
National Association of Air Traffic Controllers chief, Victor Eyaru was quoted as saying that a protracted strike would be launched on April 20 if their calls for better pay and improved working conditions were not addressed.
