Chef Chopped Up Girlfriend And Boiled Her On A Stove, Before Commiting Suicide

An Australian chef chopped up and cooked his girlfriend before taking his own life.

Police were called to the Brisbane apartment of Marcus Volke, 28, after reports of offensive smell like "rotten meat".

Shocked police officers discovered the body parts of his girlfriend Mayang Prasetyo in a pot on the stove. Other part of the Indonesian woman who is said to a transgender were found in a waste bin outside the apartment.

Volke had met his girlfriend while they were both working as chefs aboard international cruise ship and they started living together.

According to police, Volke fled through a glass door and lept over a balcony, when detectives arrived at his apartment. He then hid in an alley, where he committed suicide by slashing his own throat.
