Ebola: Federal Government Sends 250 Health Workers To Liberia, Serra Leone

Barely a week after the World Health Organization declared Nigeria free of the dreaded Ebola Virus Disease EVD, President Jonathan has given the go ahead for the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control to support Ebola ravaged countries like Liberia and Sierra Leon.

250 Nigeria health experts are set to be deployed to these countries in the next few day, to help fight against the disease, which has sent many to the grave.m

The supervising Health Minister, Dr Khaliru Alhassan, who made this known during a press briefing on Thursday in Abuja, also announced that there are 506 volunteers ready to be deployed. But that will be done after concluding all necessary logistics under the watch of World Health Organisation.
