How A Beauty Queen Was Rescued From Dangote Impersonator[Photos]


Police detectives attached to the Special Anti Robbery Squad(SARS) of the Lagos state police command have arrested a member of a five-man gang who posed as renouned  business mogul, Aliko Dangote on Facebook in other to kidnap a beauty queen.

The 20-year-old victim. Miss Sa-adat Usman Bibire was later discovered to be the daughter of Special Adviser to the Kwara state governor on political affairs.

The Lagos state Commissioner of Police, Mr Kayode Aderanti, while parading the suspect in Ikeja, said the kidnappers operate a fake Facebook account in the name of the business mogul.

He said during the Initial discussions, the suspect had proposed that he would like to make the victim(beauty queen) a brand ambassador for Dangote Noodles, an offer she quickly accepted. Thereafter, she proceeded to Warri in Delta state from Lagos to meet the "fake" Aliko Dangote and was subsequently kidnapped and a N20 million ransom was demanded from her father.
The father was asked to transfer the money to a Malasian account.

Two decoy teams of police detectives was immediately deployed to Warri and after seven days of meticulous follow ups, the victim was successfully rescued at a house on the outskirts of Ozoro town in Isoko LGA of the state.

The suspect, Patrick Ifada is a 23-year-old first year student of Delta State Polytechnic, studying computer science. His gang members are also students of the school.

It was also on Facebook, that the daughter of retired army general, Miss Cynthia Osokogwu met her killers in Lagos, two years ago.
