Tomorrow, President Goodluck Jonathan will unveil the specially designed commemorative N100 note by the Central Bank of Nigeria(CBN). The unveiling of this new note is part of the CBN's contribution to the Centenary celebration of the country - 100 years of being known as Nigeria, which happened when the North and South were amalgamated by Lord Lugard.
The new note is said to retain the traditional portrait of Chief Obafemi Awolowo on the front with traditional dancers at the back. Part of the features of the bank note is the inscription of the theme of the Centenary Celebration: "One Nigeria, Great Promise" as a micro-test.
