The Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi has debunked the media speculations that he was planning to take a 17-year-old daughter of the Lamido of Adamawa as his fourth wife.
The former CBN boss while responding to inquiries by SaharaReporters via text message said it was untrue and baseless.
The monarch stated that he fully supports the right of children not to get forcibly married before attaining the age of 18. He further stated that he has not and will not contract a marriage with any woman under 18.
