President Goodluck Jonathan has ordered that the Jonathan/Sambo campaign billboards, banners and posters used for the March 28th election, be removed with immediate effect.
The President communicated this development on Thursday, April 23, in a statement signed by Reuben Abati, the Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity.
The statement reads in part: “President Jonathan directs that the PDP Presidential Campaign Organisation and the various associations that coalesced into the Jonathan/Sambo Support Group immediately begin the process of removing the posters, billboards, banners, signs and other campaign materials in support of his re-election bid which stil adorn the landscape in major cities across the country.”
