An Arik Air flight from Owerri landed in Lagos on Wednesday, to the realization that one of the passengers on board was no longer breathing.
Albert Nnadi, a 57-year-old man, was on Wednesday confirmed dead on board an Arik commercial flight.
Nnadi’s death was discovered when passengers were disembarking the flight at the Murtala Muhammed Domestic Airport Terminal One, Lagos.
Nnadi, who was traveling to Lagos to seek medical attention for his obesity condition, was traveling alongside one of his relatives, Damien Nwachkwu.
Communications Manager of Arik Air, Ola Adebanji, confirmed the death of the passenger.
According to the statement, Nnadi showed signs of uneasiness midway into the flight.
The statement said: “The body of the man has been deposited in the mortuary by the Police, while investigation into the immediate cause of death is ongoing.”
