Court sends Biafra leader, Nnamdi Kanu back to prison

Justice John Tsoho of a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja on Friday, January 29, says he’s not sureNnamdi Kanuwon’t return to his ‘illegal activities.’

He, on Friday, ordered Kanu remanded in prison.

Kanu leads the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) which wants to secede from Nigeria.

He’s also the director of Radio Biafra accused of broadcasting hate messages. Kanu has admitted to calling Nigeria a zoo.

A online video shoes Kanu soliciting for “guns and bullets” at a conference in 2015. He also vows, in another online video, to ‘kill everyone in the zoo’ if Biafra is not allowed to secede.

Kanu, whose wife recently delivered a baby boy, is being charged for treason, among other things.

Nigerian authorities have been accused of killing several Biafra agitators during demonstrations calling for the Kanu’s release.
