Alicia Keys and Husband welcomes baby boy named Genesis

American singer, Alicia Keys and husband, Swizz Beatz welcomed their second child - a baby boy, early Saturday morning. The couple named the child, Genesis Ali Dean. 

Beatz's legal last name is Dean.

The excited mum broke the news on Instagram and shared a photo of the child's birth certificate, complete with adorable little footprints in ink.

Lagos state Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) candidate, Mr Jimi Agbaje on Sunday announced Alhaja Safurat Abdulkareem, a trained teacher and accountant as his running mate for 2015 election.

This was made known in a statement signed on behalf of his Director of Publicity, Mr Felix Oboagwina.

Abdulkareem, wife of a retired Air Force officer who also holds an MBA degree, was running mate to late PDP governorship candidate, Mr Funso Williams in 2003.

I Have More Than 100 Hats In My Closet - Sound Sultan

Lanre Fasasi popularly known by his stage name, Sound Sultan has revealed he has a collection of over 100 hats in his wardrobe. 

The "Jagbajantis" crooner revealed this in a recent interview with PUNCH.

"I was shy when i was in school. While on campus, i would wear a cap to cover my face. I was always hiding from the stares and glares of people because they made me quite uncomfortable. I still wear them because i am a shy person. I have lots of hats in my closet. I'm sure they are above 100."

On the most embarrassing fashion error he has made;

"If you see some of my old pictures, there are a lot of fashion errors there. I used to wear some funny glasses then. If you see some pictures of Tuface and me, you would be shocked at some things we wore but that was what we had. That is what we call fashion error now. Back then, we felt like fashion icons whenever we wore those clothes.”

Search and rescue mission for the missing AirAisia suspended due to bad weather and fading light

Rescuers scouring the sea for the missing AirAsia plane with 162 aboard suspended their search at nightfall on Sunday, Indonesia transport ministry reports.

"We ended at 5:30pm(1030 GMT) because it was getting dark. The weather was also not too good as it was getting really cloudy. Tomorrow we will begin at 7am, or even earlier than that, if the weather is good" transport ministry official, Hadi Mustofa said.

Winners Chapel Has 6million Members Spread Across 147 Countries - Oyedepo

The founder and general overseer of Living Faith Church(Winners Chapel), Bishop David Oyedepo says his church has six million members in 147 nations across the world.

He made this disclosure on Saturday, at a breakfast meeting with members of Omu-Aran Government Secondary School Old Boys Association(OGSSOBA) at Landmark University, Omu-Aran, Kwara.

Bishop Oyedepo, the chancellor of Landmark and Covenant Universities and also a member of OGSSOBA, said that the figure was ascertained at the recent convention of the church.

During the meeting, he advised members of the old boys association to re-dedicate themselves to arresting infrastructure decay in all colleges and institutions across the country.

Mr Seun Adeniyi, the president of the association, described Oyedepo as a living legend and role model to both the current and old students of the school.
