Met Gala: Beyonce’s army attack Kim Kardashian for dress-copying

The worst thing which can happen to any celebrity is happening to Kim Kardashian right now.

Not only is she being accused of copying Beyonce’s 2013 MET Gala dress…the Beyhive have swarmed her social media pages after she gave credit to icon, Cher.

After the comparisons, Kim took toinstagram to share a photo of Cher and wrote

Tonight’s inspiration! Cher at the 1st ever Met Gala! I just met her and told her this photo was my inspiration for my dress tonight! She is so beautiful! So happy I met her!

Boko Haram: 214 girls rescued from Sambisa forest pregnant – UNFPA

There are indications that some of the additional 234 women and children rescued by the Nigerian Army from the Sambisa Forest in Borno State are pregnant.

Report says the latest number of pregnant girls found in one of the camps in Borno as at last Saturday was 214.

Making this disclosure in Lagos, Executive Director, UNFPA, Prof. Babatunde Osotimehin, revealed that the organization had taken deliveries of over 16,000 pregnancies in the crisis-ridden North East region.

According to Osotimehin, his organisation had put also in place a formidable team in collaboration with the Federal and state governments, to first restore the dignity of the girls, whom, he said, are currently facing severe psychosocial trauma.

On the state of the girls, he explained that most of them, due to the long period spent in captivity, required a special set of services that would facilitate their integration into the society.

“I’m glad the communities are not excommunicating them and are taking them back. That is an important therapy too. We anticipate this is going to escalate because the military intervention is continuing, we find that more people are now needing our services and we will continue,” he stated.

“UNFPA is providing dignity for women. In conflict and disasters, most people would only think of water and sanitation, provision of tents and housing, and food, which are all important. But women and girls have specific needs that nobody else looks after; it is only UNFPA that is doing this. We are giving psychosocial counselling.

“Beyond that, in the growing young people, we will always have pregnant women, but nobody segregates the needs of the pregnant women which are very important and different from the needs of the average community. We look after them, and ensure they get antenatal care and that they deliver properly and that they even get Caesarean Section when necessary,” he added.

Nigerian troops arrest Boko Haram food, fuel supplier; free 260 captives

The Defence Headquarters said a man who specialises in supplying fuel and food to terrorists was on Sunday nabbed in Daban Shata in the suburbs of Baga, Borno State. This was contained in statement issued by the Director of Defence Information, Maj.-Gen. Chris Olukolade, in Abuja. 

The director said that the military intelligence had been trailing him till he was eventually trapped in the early hours of Sunday. 

He added that the man was presently undergoing interrogation. 

Olukolade also stressed that the troops on patrol on Saturday located 260 women and  children in the outskirts of Chalawa village in Adamawa, where they had been held up while trying to escape from terrorists. He said they had been returned to their various communities in Madagali after undergoing the normal security profiling. 

He added that the operation in Sambisa forest was ongoing as troops were methodically searching every aspect of the expansive terrain.

This new £5 coin celebrates the arrival of Britain's royal princess

The Royal Mint has unveiled the design of a new £5 coin, to commemorate the safe arrival of the royal baby.

In celebration of the princess's birth, 500 gold coins and 9,500 silver coins will be produced.

The coins have a royal seal of approval from the Queen, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and the Chancellor.

John Bergdahl has designed the limited-edition pieces, and he was also the artist behind the commemorative coins which were minted for Prince George's birth.

 "It is only fitting that we commemorate this new addition to the Royal Family with the release of a special coin, just as we celebrated the arrival of Prince George, hee said."

In addition to the £5 coin, the Royal Mint has also produced 2015 silver pennies which will be given to babies born on the same day as the royal baby.
