I Hope They Will Hear!! Read Advice Buhari’s Aide Gave To Those Trekking

Mohammed Shehu, an aide to President-elect Buhari, has advised youths to pray instead of trekking for the incoming leader’s administration. Mr. Shehu gave this advice during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), in Abuja today Monday May 18th.

According to him, the incoming administration acknowledges the excitement of youths over Mr. Buhari’s election but would prefer that they channel their energies towards praying than embarking on, sometimes dangerous, journeys. What he said after the cut...

"It’s kind of overwhelming. Last week, I told youths to stay where they are, stop trekking, and pray for the incoming administration instead. We have a lot of challenges; light, unemployment, insecurity, and so on. So it is more profitable for them to stay where they are and pray instead of taking the dangerous risk of walking all the way to Abuja,’’ Mr. Shehu said.

On the allegation that the trekkers were ignored, Mr. Shehu said:

"that is not true. Even outsiders have been bringing gifts and food for them out of goodwill. It is untrue that they have been ignored or starved and this is not the first batch but you know the problem with this kind of situation is that when others hear, they keep coming."

Trekking Is Now Lucrative! Man Who Trekked For APC Receives N250K Cash Reward

A man who trekked all the way from Taraba State to Maiduguri for 11 days to celebrate the election victory of Governor Kashim Shettima of APC, pictured above is of the trekker being turbaned as the 'Trekking king' by the Emir of Gwoza.

Aside from the "title", he also reportedly received a cash reward of about N250,000 (N.25 million) from the Deputy governor of Borno State, Alhaji Zannah Umar Mustapha.

Eva Alordiah Explains Why She Went Bald

Every female celebrity seems to be going natural as the natural hairstyle is gradually returning with a bang.

Few months back, female rapper, Eva Alordiah shocked her fans when she cut her hair and went bald.

Speaking on why she took that decision, Eva said, "I really just wanted to prove to myself that I could go bald. I did it and liked it, thank God! I have been very playful with my hair all my life and I do look forward to the countless things I want to do with it still."

Eva also recalled her first crush.

She said, "I was in primary five and we were both school prefects. I thought he was the cutest boy in the whole school and sometimes I used to brag to my friends that I was so sure he liked me. The next time I did see him however after we graduated and gone on to different secondary schools, I coulda sworn I never ever liked him! Haha.

“It is funny how your perception or ideals of what you like and don’t like can evolve as you yourself evolve as a human being," she told Y Naija.

Because Abuja Is Too Mainstream, 5 Men Want To Trek From Nigeria To Mecca For Buhari

A group of five married men have vowed to trek from Nigeria to Saudi Arabia to celebrate the victory of the president-elect, General Muhammadu in the March 28 presidential poll.

Speaking with newsmen in Bauchi on Sunday, the men; viz. Mohammed Inuwa, 45, Dahiru Aminu, 33, Abdullahi Usseini, 45, Abubakar Danjuma, 45, and Kabiru Saleh , 35, explained that their decision to embark on the foot journey was fueled by the undying love they have for the incoming leader.

Speaking on their behalf, Mohammed Inuwa said, “He has tried to be president for 12years but Allah did not make it to be possible. We believe he always won because he had the support of the majority. This time around Allah has given him the power and so we decided to trek to Mecca by road to register our unflinching support to General Buhari”

They said they were ready to give their lives for the mission but, “we pray Allah will protect and guide us because we are committed to show our appreciation to General Buhari.”

They disclosed that they have consulted widely with families and friends and have made adequate preparations for the journey which they estimated will take them at least, three months and will see them transverse countries of Chad, Sudan before reaching their destination in Mecca.

The men said that they hope to begin their trek on May 30, a day after the swearing-in of the incoming administration and asked Nigerians to pray for them to succeed in their mission.

Buhari to drop General title from May 29th

The media team of General Muhammadu Buhari has released a statement saying that from May 29th, the president elect will drop his General title and so should no longer be addressed as a General.

“From May 29, 2015, the President-elect and Vice-President-elect are to be respectively known and addressed as Muhammadu Buhari, President, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria and Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, Vice President, Federal Republic of Nigeria" the statement signed by the Directorate of Media and Publicity of Gen Buhari read.
