The comedian was involved in an accident last night in Ikoyi. He was hit by a speeding car at an intersection. He was rushed to the hospital and released this morning after being treated for an eye injury.
He shared the photo above with the following caption ;

Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala Awarded Honorary Doctorate Degree By Yale University(Photos)
Nigeria’s Minister of Finance,Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, has been awarded a honorary doctorate degree by Yale University.
Okonjo-Iweala was awarded a Doctor of Humane Letters at Yale’s 2015 Commencement Ceremony in New Haven, Connecticut on Monday.
Giving out the award, the President of the University Professor Peter Salovey described Okonjo-Iweala as “a brilliant reformer and dedicated public servant.”
Yale’s honorary doctorate degree is seen globally as a very important honour, and Okonjo-Iweala’s the second Nigerian to ever be awarded the prestigious honour, with the first being Professor Wole Soyinka in 1980.

President Jonathan signs N4.425tn 2015 budget
It appears President Goodluck Jonathan may have signed the 2015 Appropriation Bill weeks ago, however, it is only just becoming public knowledge.
The Senate had passed the 2015 budget on April 28, following the passage of the same bill by the House of Representatives on April 23.
According to a report by Punch Newspapers, the reason for the budget-signing being shrouded in secrecy could not be ascertained.
A Presidency source told the newspaper that the President signed the budget about two weeks ago immediately after the document passed by the National Assembly was transmitted to him.
The source also claimed ignorance as to why the President chose to sign the document without the knowledge of the public.
Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati, reportedly confirmed that Jonathan had signed the budget.
However, he also could not explain why the document was quietly signed by the President.
In passing the budget, the Senate slightly reduced the N2.607,601, 000,300 proposed by the Executive to N2.607,132,491,708 as recurrent expenditure and also scaled down the capital expenditure from N642,848,999,699 estimated in the proposal to N556,995,465,449.

Woman dies while having sex with a driver in Lagos
The police in Lagos State have arrested a driver, identified simply as Utebor, for the death of a lady in his apartment. Investigations had showed that the suspect took the lady home and as they were having sex, the victim died.
A neighbour was said to have alerted policemen from the Ipaja division, who arrested the suspect and deposited the victim’s corpse in a mortuary. The suspect picked up the victim around Baruwa Estate in the Ipaja area of the state, on Friday.
Nobody knew the victim’s name and address, just as no member of her family had shown up.
A source told PUNCH Metro:
“The man was driving his cab that fateful day when the lady flagged him down.She asked him for money, but he told her he didn’t have any money on him. He then asked her to enter the car and follow him home.
He took her to his apartment in Baruwa Estate and it was that night that the girl died. Investigation showed that it was while he was making love to her that she died. It was the following morning that somebody alerted the police.”
However, the suspect, in his confession told the police that he had picked the victim from the bus stop and taken her home when she suddenly died.
Another source explained that the suspect had continued to plead his innocence, saying he only helped the deceased and did not have sex with her. He said:
The man did not deny taking the girl home. But he explained that while she was in his room, she started shouting that she had a headache, and before he knew what was going on, she fell down and died.
“He said he was confused and didn’t know what to do. But obviously, that may not be all the truth.”
When PUNCH visited the area, residents were not willing to talk about the incident, as they claimed that they were not aware.
It was, however, learnt that the matter had been transferred to the Department of Criminal Investigation, Yaba, where the suspect was undergoing interrogation.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Kenneth Nwosu, confirmed the incident.
He said, “We have arrested the man. As I speak with you, the matter is under investigation at the DCI, to know what actually killed the lady. The deceased’s name and address are unknown.”

One of the women freed by soldiers from Boko Haram’s captivity, Meriam, 36, has narrated how the sect fighters trained and prepared girls and women for suicide missions. Meriam said she had seen a few of the Chibok village girls at the hospital in Gwoza, and said that the Boko Haram appeared to give them a special status.
Hamsatu, 25, a young woman in a black-and-purple head scarf, looking down at the ground said she was four months pregnant, that the father was a Boko Haram member and that she had been forced to have sex with other militants who took control of her town.
“They married me,“They chose the ones they wanted to marry,If anybody shouts, they said they would shoot them.”
Yahauwa, 30, used her green head scarf to wipe away tears as she clutched a plastic bag full of medicine. She had just tested positive for H.I.V.
“Is it from the people who forced me to have affairs with them?” she asked a relief worker, tears streaming down her face.
Later, she explained that she and many other women had been “locked in one big room.”
“When they came, they would select the one they wanted to sleep with, “They said, ‘If you do not marry us, we will slaughter you.’

Mohammed Shehu, an aide to President-elect Buhari, has advised youths to pray instead of trekking for the incoming leader’s administration. Mr. Shehu gave this advice during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), in Abuja today Monday May 18th.
According to him, the incoming administration acknowledges the excitement of youths over Mr. Buhari’s election but would prefer that they channel their energies towards praying than embarking on, sometimes dangerous, journeys. What he said after the cut...

A man who trekked all the way from Taraba State to Maiduguri for 11 days to celebrate the election victory of Governor Kashim Shettima of APC, pictured above is of the trekker being turbaned as the 'Trekking king' by the Emir of Gwoza.

Speaking on why she took that decision, Eva said, "I really just wanted to prove to myself that I could go bald. I did it and liked it, thank God! I have been very playful with my hair all my life and I do look forward to the countless things I want to do with it still."
Eva also recalled her first crush.
She said, "I was in primary five and we were both school prefects. I thought he was the cutest boy in the whole school and sometimes I used to brag to my friends that I was so sure he liked me. The next time I did see him however after we graduated and gone on to different secondary schools, I coulda sworn I never ever liked him! Haha.

A group of five married men have vowed to trek from Nigeria to Saudi Arabia to celebrate the victory of the president-elect, General Muhammadu in the March 28 presidential poll.
Speaking with newsmen in Bauchi on Sunday, the men; viz. Mohammed Inuwa, 45, Dahiru Aminu, 33, Abdullahi Usseini, 45, Abubakar Danjuma, 45, and Kabiru Saleh , 35, explained that their decision to embark on the foot journey was fueled by the undying love they have for the incoming leader.
Speaking on their behalf, Mohammed Inuwa said, “He has tried to be president for 12years but Allah did not make it to be possible. We believe he always won because he had the support of the majority. This time around Allah has given him the power and so we decided to trek to Mecca by road to register our unflinching support to General Buhari”
They said they were ready to give their lives for the mission but, “we pray Allah will protect and guide us because we are committed to show our appreciation to General Buhari.”
They disclosed that they have consulted widely with families and friends and have made adequate preparations for the journey which they estimated will take them at least, three months and will see them transverse countries of Chad, Sudan before reaching their destination in Mecca.
The men said that they hope to begin their trek on May 30, a day after the swearing-in of the incoming administration and asked Nigerians to pray for them to succeed in their mission.
