Synagogue Miracles Are Not Fake -TB Joshua

The founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations,Prophet TB Joshua, has refuted allegations that he performs fake miracles.
The pastor has come under severe criticisms owing to the church’s collapsed building which killed at least 115 people.

A South African journalist, Jacques Pauw had alleged that Joshua’s miracles are fake.
In his report he had said, “I challenged the pilgrims to provide me with medical proof that they had been healed. None did.”

In a statement released through the church’s official Facebook page, Joshua claimed that all his miracles were performed before the church audience and were broadcast live through the SCOAN’s Emmanuel TV.

“Please note, all the SCOAN services are public and broadcast live on Emmanuel TV,” the statement read in part.
The statement also urged the Synagogue church adherents and supporters not to be misled by the said report.
“Do not be misled and diverted from the truth. No matter how long a lie is sustained, the truth will someday prevail. Jesus is the Truth,” the statement urged.

Ahead of the 2015 general elections, veteran Nollywood Actor, Kenneth Okonkwo has joined the league of other entertainers currently eyeing various political offices.

The star Actor is seeking to represent Nsukka/Igboeze South Federal Constituency at the National Assembly on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

This is not the best of times for the Tinsel star, Gbenro Ajibade, as he lost his brother to a kidney related ailment Tuesday. Ajibade, who plays the character of Soji in the popular soap opera, said that he was really close to his late brother and was shocked and devastated by his death. He said he received the news of his demise shortly after chatting with him on Facebook.the actor said that his brother died of kidney related ailment having been on dialysis for some time.

He was ill, he had issues with his kidney and he was on dialysis. We were very close.

Synagogue Building Collapse: Lagos Begins DNA Of Recovered Bodies

Lagos State Government has commenced the identification of recovered bodies by calling on family members and all nationals who believe their relations could have been in the collapsed building to come forward and submit samples that can aid forensic identification and DNA analysis of recovered bodies.
Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Jide Idris, who made the call yesterday in his office, stated that the state government has considered it necessary to start forensic identification and DNA analysis of the recovered bodies in view of the need to identify each of them.
He, therefore, appealed to family members, especially parents, children and siblings of nationals who believe their relations could have been in the collapsed building to visit the Department of Forensic Medicine at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja from yesterday to submit samples that can aid the forensic identification and DNA analysis of recovered bodies.

Police Arrest Woman For burrying One-Day Child Alive

The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has arrested a woman, Ms Patience Aaron, for attempting to kill her new born baby girl.

It was learnt that Aaron, an indigene of Afaha Abia village, in the Nsit Ibom Local Government Area of the state, on September 14, buried her one-day baby alive.

The state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Gabriel Achong, said during a press conference in Uyo on Thursday that the baby was rescued alive nearly five hours after she had been buried.

“The state police detective on September14, 2014 arrested one Patience Aaron of Afaha Abia village in the Nsit Ibom LGA for attempting to kill the baby girl she gave birth to.

“Patience buried her one-day-old baby in a shallow grave. The baby was rescued alive. Investigation is in progress,” he said.

The CP, however, added that it was discovered that Aaron was ill and had been taken to a hospital

The command also arrested 36 others for various offences, ranging from murder to foiled armed robbery and recovery of N8.9m between the months of August and September.

The command arrested one Kufreobong Anwana in the University of Uyo for possession of improvised explosive devices. Another suspect, Udo Effiong, was nabbed for stealing two solar batteries and a panel. One Andre Moses, a driver with Union Bank Plc, Lagos, was picked up for absconding with his boss’ Hyundai and selling the vehicle to a Ghanaian in Port Harcourt.

Achong said the police also rescued stolen children ─ Goodness Sunday (2years); David Eyo (2years); Edikan Sunda (9years); and Gift Joshua (13 years).

The commissioner also explained that on August 25, a manager of a telecommunications company in Ikot Ekpene with one of his drivers went to lodge N8.9m in a bank.

He added that some hoodlums on a motorcycle trailed them, shot the driver of the vehicle and dispossessed them of the money. He said the police rounded up the hoodlums and recovered the money.

Achon said, “Also, the police foiled a robbery at Okobo on September 18. Our police operatives in the Okobo division successfully repelled some hoodlums who invaded Union Bank Plc, Okobo branch and blew off a part of the banking hall and a part of the Automated Teller Machine with dynamite.

“It is pertinent to note that no life or money was lost in the incident. A serious manhunt for the fleeing criminals is on.”

Five persons were also paraded in connection with the beheading of one Godwin Inuen from Ikot Umo Essien in the Essien Udim LGA.

The suspects include Patience Bassey, Nsisong Edet, Michael Akpan and Enefiok James.

A syndicate of four persons who specialised in stealing parked motorbikes in churches were also arrested.

They are Ndifreke Akang, Ubong Etuk, Solomon Etim and Ubong Matthew, among others.

Akpan, who is the father of the boy that was beheaded and also a suspect in the crime, said he was shocked that the crime was linked to him.

“My son was killed. I did not know who killed him. As for me, I don’t have a part in the beheading of my son,” he said.

Synagogue Church Collapse: Prophet TB Joshua To Be SUED?

According to BBC news, two south africans who lost their relatives in the synagogue church building collapse have said they intend to sue Prophet TB Joshua.

The two men, who both lost sisters in the collapse, are appealing for more families to come together in bringing a case against the preacher.

At least 115 people, including 84 South Africans, died when the multi-storey building fell down earlier this month.

The authorities say it had more floors than its foundation could hold.
