Precious John, the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria, Model of the Year 2014 has stated that there is nothing wrong in posing nude as a model.
According to the 22 year-old Mass Communication student of Lead City University, Ibadan, whose nude picture sparked controversy online recently, nudity is part of her portfolio and she can do it again to keep her profession going.
She told Punch that though her mum doesn’t like the idea of nudity, she had to convince her that it is part of her career.

According to her, “Alek Wek is an African model and she has nude pictures, Naomi Campbell has posed nude several times. I have posed nude before and it is part of my portfolio. My mum did not like it, but I had to explain to her that it was something I needed to do. After all, I am above 18. My nude pictures are part of my portfolio. I am a model and a model is like a mannequin. I would pose nude again if there is need for me to.

He has to be good looking too. He must be comfortable but not extremely wealthy. I want a man that we can build our fortune together.”

How my marriage stayed intact despite the scandals – Actress Foluke Daramola

Popular actress of the Yoruba movie industry, Foluke Daramola-Salako, has had her fair share of controversies especially over her marriage to Kayode Salako.

Last Sunday was a double celebration for the couple as they marked their second wedding anniversary and the actress’ birthday. In a chat with Saturday Beats, the busty actress explained how she coped with the negative stories.
    She said:
“I am excited and happy that I am a year older and my marriage is waxing stronger. God has been faithful. I’m grateful to God for good health and a happy marriage. Definitely, my husband and I would be together forever. It is not because of what people say butbecause of the conviction that I have and what my husband and I feel for each other. We know that we are meant to be in this marriage. Even in the midst of the storm, controversy and scandal, we still knew what was binding us together was true love which is well rooted in Christ. It is not based on the facade of celebrity marriages. It is beyond all that and we both knew that we would be married forever no matter what.
She further explained that as a woman, anytime she read negative news about her marriage, she felt bad but her husband was always there to support her.
“Whenever I read any bad news about us, I felt bad. But Kayode wouldn’t feel bad because he was convinced about what we feel for each other. I felt bad because it was not me that was portrayed in those stories.
The fact that I have feelings for someone and the person feels the same way about me and we both have a past that we are moving beyond does not make us bad people. The way they made it seem to the outside world was like I was a bitch that just wanted to be wicked. I was trying to be happy. My husband and I felt bad but he had to be bold and brave for both of us. He had to be a man and he handled it very well. He helped me overcome it and I thank God that it is over,” she said.
She assured that all is well between her family and their estranged spouses.
“Everybody is fine now. Everything is cool with our ex because we believe that we disagree to agree. Just because it did not work with one person does not mean it would not work with another person. All parties involved are mature about it and so far, everybody is happy.

Obasanjo snubs reconciliatory moves by Jonathan, PDP

A purported move to reconcile former President, Olusegun Obasanjo and President Goodluck Jonathan might have hit the rocks as indications reveal that the former president shunned the peace move made by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and President Goodluck Jonathan.
Sunday Punch is reporting that Jonathan and the leadership of the PDP had planned to meet with the former President as part of the President’s visit to Ogun State on Friday. But, the former President, who had got wind of the peace move, travelled to Gambia on Thursday.
However, it was unclear if the two-time President had plans to attend the Gambia event before Jonathan’s visit.
It was reliably gathered that Obasanjo would have been part of the closed-door meeting Jonathan had with some Ogun State traditional rulers on Friday, but for his absence from the country.
An informed Presidential staff, who also spoke on condition of anonymity, disclosed that the former President deliberately decided to travel out of Abeokuta to avoid meeting with Jonathan on Friday owing to his disenchantment with the current President.
His words, “I can tell you authoritatively that Baba’s (Obasanjo) problem with the President and the PDP is the promotion of Kashamu.”
“I will consider withdrawing my activity with PDP at local, state, zonal and national levels until the anomalous and shameful situation is corrected,” he had said.
The aide maintained that rather than address Obasanjo’s complaint, the PDP had appointed Kashamu the Chairman of its Mobilisation Committee in the South-West.

Ekiti tape is authentic but content was manipulated – FFK

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has now admitted that the Ekiti rigging audio tape was authentic only that the subject was manipulated and doctored to favour the All Progressives Congress.
The Party’s campaign Director for Media and Publicity, Femi Fani-Kayode while speaking on the audio tape, said that the voices heard in the discussion were not planning to rig the elections as alleged by the APC.
Mr Kayode who divulged this at a press conference in Abuja, said that after a careful reviewed of the recording, his team has come to realize that the opposition APC  manipulated the true situation by accusing Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state; former Minister of State for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro; and the Minister of Police Affairs, Jelili Adesiyan, of planning to rig the election.
“We have listened to the audio clip and we make bold to say that the discussion that took place in it did not make any mention of any form of rigging in the Ekiti state governorship election and neither did it contain any evidence of any conspiracy to rig,” he said.
He said that direct opposite was the case as the same Governor Fayose who was accused of planning to rig the election had expressed concerns that a military commander was not acting on information about illegal movement of weapons into some parts of the state.
“The Governor and others were apparently worried that safety of the voters and INEC officials
He further alleged that the APC failed completely to do a critical content analysis of the discussions in the audio clip, accusing the party of rigging the governorship election in Osun state.
“During the course of those elections, some of their agents gathered in secret locations where they thumb-printed ballot papers in favor of their governorship candidate, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola,” he said
“It is ironic that instead of purging itself of its own insatiable appetite for rigging and cheating, the APC, through its Presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari, chose to call a press conference in which he alleged that our leaders were ordering soldiers to rig in Ekiti state.
This is a clear case of the pot calling the kettle black,” he said.
“It is now very clear to us that the APC is determined to cause security breaches in the next few weeks. This has been confirmed by their vigorous campaign of calumny against the military and their consistent demand that soldiers must not be deployed for security surveillance at the polling booths in the forthcoming elections,” he said.
“General Buhari said that the patience of the APC and its leaders were on test. One wonders what he means by that and what he and his supporters intend to do once that patience runs out.
“In an AFP news report of Friday, February 6, 2015, he was asked if he would accept the outcome of the presidential election no matter how unfavourable. Listen to his answer: “I am not going to lose; so I won’t answer that question.”
“Again, only yesterday, Wednesday, February 18, 2015, in an interview on ARISE Television, General Buhari was asked what his reaction would be if he loses the election. His answer was: “We shall see.”
“As far as we are concerned, these are ominous and subtle threats to unleash violence on the Nigerian people and all those that he perceives are his enemies in the event of his losing the election,” he said.
“With these dishonourable tactics and desperate acts by the APC, we are the ones who should be worried and who should be complaining but, unlike Buhari and the APC, our patience is not running out because we are committed to a peaceful election and we completely reject the option of violence,” he said.

New Report: Bobbi Kristina’s breathing tube has been removed

According to reports by CNN, Bobbi Kristina Brown, the daughter of Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston, underwent a procedure to remove her breathing tube on Wednesday.

The reports said that Brown underwent a procedure that allows her to breathe through a hole in her throat. CNN’s chief medical correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta told CNN the procedure is an “indication that the patient will need this for weeks and months to come, as opposed to hours and days.”

People spoke to Dr. Levi Benson who said the procedure is done to minimize the risk of infection from having a breathing tube in for a prolonged period of time. He said the move lowers the risk of infection and is considered standard procedure for patients in Brown’s condition.

Brown was found unresponsive in a bathtub at her Atlanta home on Jan. 31. Since then, she has been in a coma, surrounded by friends and family at Emory University Hospital. Police are currently investigating the incident as a possible criminal matter.

New Ebola Testing Kit Can Diagnose The Virus In Just 15 Minutes

The World Health Organization has approved a rapid test for the Ebola virus which can deliver a diagnosis in just 15 minutes.
In what could be a breakthrough for bringing the epidemic in West Africa to an end, the test kits will be deployed to countries affected by Ebola within a matter of weeks.
Although less accurate than traditional tests, which can take anywhere between 12 and 24 hours, this kit does not require electricity - making it ideal for examining patients in remote areas.
During rigorous trials conducted by the WHO, the ReEBOV Antigen Rapid Test correctly identified 92% of those infected with Ebola, and 85% who were free of the virus.
The health agency has said this new testing kit should be followed up with a laboratory test wherever possible.

I Will Declare My Assets Publicly If I Win - Buhari

APC presidential candidate, Gen Muhammadu Buhari (retd) , said he would publicly declare his assets and liability if voted into power.

Buhari stated this in a document obtained by PUNCH in Abuja on Thursday. The document highlights what Buhari will do in his first 100 days if he assumes power on May 29.
He said he would encourage political appointees in his administration to also declare their assets publicly.
Buhari, in the document titled, “I pledge to Nigeria said;“I pledge to publicly declare my assets and liabilities, encourage all my appointees to publicity declare their assets and liabilities as a pre-condition for appointment.
“All political appointees will only earn the salaries and allowances determined by the RMFAC.”
He said that he would also work with the National Assembly towards the immediate enactment of a Whistle Blower Act.
On the other ways to strengthen the anti-graft war, he said, “We will work with the National Assembly to strengthen the Independent Corruption Practices and other related Offences Commission and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission by guaranteeing institutional autonomy, including financial and prosecutorial independence and security of tenure of officials.
“We will also make the Financial Intelligence Unit of the EFCC autonomous and operational; encourage proactive disclosure of information by government institutions in the spirit of the Freedom of Information Act.”
On insurgency and insecurity in the country, the former head of state said; “I pledge, as Commander-in-Chief, to lead from the front and not behind in the comfort and security of Aso Rock, to boost the morale of fighting forces and the generality of all Nigerians,”

On the fate of the kidnapped Chibok girls, Buhari said that as a father, he had been feeling the pain of the victims of insurgency, kidnapping and violence whether “they are widows and orphans of the military, paramilitary, civilians and parents or the Chibok girls.
“My government shall act decisively on any actionable intelligence to #BringBack Our Girls.”

CAN denies receiving N7bn bribe from PDP to campaign against Buhari

    Pastor-Ayo-Oritsejafor
The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, has debunked the allegations that it collected N7 billion bribe to campaign against  APC presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari (retd).
The christian body while describing it as a ‘fat lie’ wondered why mischief makers would concoct lies to deceive the public.
Public Relation Officer, PRO, of Northern CAN, Mr. Sunday Oibe, said: “The allegation is a complete lie and just one of the many evil plots to dent the image of CAN’s leadership.
“It is also to rubbish its integrity and make it morally incapable of leading Christians in these trying times. There was no way anybody would collect a kobo on behalf of CAN and start sharing it like booty.
“The man, who made the allegation, is totally unknown in CAN cycle and I am just hearing his name and that of his organization for the first time. How come he could be privy to such an arrangement if it really existed?
“It is a shame that anyone would make such mean allegation, without giving a shred of evidence, just to fulfil a political agenda at the cost of our ecumenism.
“It is all to silence the voice of CAN leaders against the tyranny and oppression that Christians suffer in the north-east and other parts of northern Nigeria.
“For the first time our oppressors have found CAN speaking up for its members, and they must do everything to frustrate our leaders. The kingdom of evil shall, again, fall flat at the feet of Jesus.”
