Drama As Wife beats Husband to death in Enugu

The police in Enugu State have arrested one Mrs. Grace Agbo for allegedly killing her husband, a situation that has thrown the entire people of Isi-Uzo Local Government Area into shock, according to Daily DailyPost.

Residents say they are terrified over the development as the motive behind the murder had remained unknown.

The police spokesman in Enugu State, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, who confirmed the incident, said the deceased, Elijah Agbo, hails from Imirike Agu village in Udenu Local Government Area of Enugu State but resides in Isiuzo.

According to him, the deceased was relaxing in the living room of his house with his wife, Grace, and daughter, Deborah, at night on the fateful day, March 5, 2015, without knowing that his end was near.

According to reports, around 9pm, the housewife, Grace, asked the daughter, Deborah, to go to bed.

Not sensing any danger, Deborah, a 12-year-old girl, obeyed her mother and went to bed, leaving her parents alone in the living room.

But shortly after she retired to bed, Deborah heard a loud, sharp cry from her father, Elijah.

The cry was accompanied by a thud and Deborah rushed to the living room, where she saw her father on the floor, with blood gushing from a fresh, open wound on his head, which had been smashed in.

She discovered that her mother had used a heavy stick to smash her father’s head immediately she stepped out of the living room.

Amaraizu, who confirmed that Elijah died on the spot, said the housewife had been arrested.

He added that the police were yet to determine why Grace murdered her husband in cold blood.

Again, INEC extend deadline for collection of PVCs

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has extended the March 8 deadline for collection of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) by two weeks.

This is contained in a statement signed by Mr Kayode Idowu, the Chief Press Secretary to INEC Chairman and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday in Abuja.

The statement said the period for the collection of the PVCs had been extended from March 8 to March 22.

“This latest extension offers the last opportunity for duly registered voters to collect their PVCs before the general elections scheduled for March 28 and April 11,’’ the statement said.

It called on registered voters who are yet to collect their PVCs to use the opportunity of the extension to collect their cards to enable them exercise their franchise during the polls.

Chris Brown is reportedly going to battle his baby mama, Nia Guzman in court in order to pay less child support for their nine-month-old daughter, Royalty, whose existence was a secret until this week. 

According to TMZ, Chris made a deal with his baby mama when he found out about Royalty last month, he agreed to be paying her a huge amount of money monthly in exchange for her silence.

Fire Guts Chief Igbinedion's ITV Benin[Photos]

There are reports that the Sir Gabriel Igbinedion-owned Independent Television and Radio(ITV) Benin mysteriously caught fire last night, according to CityPeople.
