Months after separating from her estranged husband Philip, the actress was rumoured to be having an affair with Mike Godson, her junior colleague in the movie industry.

However, she has again come out to debunk claims that she is in another relationship, stating clearly that she is happily single.

“No, I’m not back into the arms of any man. I’m in love with myself. I’m a single girl, very, very happily single.

I have always had my groove back on. But you know now, I’m a happy person all the time. Life is too short to dwell on regrets and pains. As for all the talks about moving into a new house, driving posh automobiles, I don’t dwell on those things. I just want to keep doing better films, doing good in my profession. I just want to keep growing,” she hinted.

Both Ini Edo and Philip have obviously moved on with their lives.

It was also discovered that her ex-husband has an 8-year old son, named after him. Phillip Eden Ehiagwina Jnr.

Jega set to quit as INEC chairman

Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof Attahiru Jega, has declared that he is not interested in another term when his current tenure expires in June.

Jega was appointed by President Goodluck Jonathan in 2010 to replace Prof Maurice Iwu.

Speaking in an interview with the Hausa Service of the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC Hausa) Thursday night, Jega said having played his role in the political space for five years, it was time another person to contribute his or her own quota.

“I am grateful to God. I was asked to come and contribute my own quota to the national development and I have done my bit to the best of my ability.

“Whatever assignment one will do for five years – just like this difficult one, to me if one is able to successfully accomplish the task, someone else should be given the opportunity, because for me I am not interested and if I am requested to serve again, I will not do it, by God’s grace,” Jega said.

“My fellow Nigerians,
Roughly four months ago, I signified my intention to represent KOWA Party at the presidential elections. I was involved in a primary with three other aspirants and emerged our Party’s nominee. Man Paraded By The Police For Shaving A Woman's Pubic Hair In Benin(Pictured)

A‎ 35-year old man, Ibrahim Adamu is currently in police net in Benin for allegedly shaving the pubic hair of a 25-year old woman, Jumai Jasper, while sleeping in his room. PM News reports. 

Edo State Police Commissioner, Samuel Adegbuyi, who paraded the suspect and others at the ‎state police command headquarters on Wednesday, said the suspect lured the victim “into his room, shave her arm pit hair and her pubic hair without her consent.”

Adamu, a resident of Aduwawa community in Benin who hails from Funtua local government area of Katsina state, confessed to shaving the woman’s pubic hair while sleeping, but said that the woman was his girlfriend.

“I shaved the pubic hair of the woman because I wanted to sleep with her, she is my girlfriend,” he said.

He however denied that he did it for ritual purposes, adding that, he threw away the hair away afterwards.

Ibrahim added that when the woman woke up and discovered that he had shaved off her hair, she demanded the hair but when he could not produce it, she raised alarm and the people around the place called the police ‎who arrested him immediately.

The police commissioner said investigation was still ongoing into the case.

Doctor tells Kim K she'll need to have "uterus removed" if she has another baby

In a preview clip from an upcoming episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians,the reality star got a shocking news from her fertility doctor - that if she has another baby, her uterus will be removed. 

"I’m trying to get a hold of Kanye, because I just came from my fertility doctor and they need me to go into surgery to clear out something in my uterus,” she told the cameras.

She later gets hold of Kanye and shares the shocking news with him. 

"When you have your baby, this will be your last one, because the problem is your placenta grew on your uterus, so when you have another baby, your placenta will go right to that hole and then we’ll have a team of doctors waiting right there, to remove your uterus and put you into emergency surgery right there because you can’t bleed too much,” Kim tells her husband.

In a statement signed by Ayo Adewuyi, Media officer to the First Lady, she appealed to Nigerian women to work with Hajia Aisha Buhari and give her the maximum support to make her succeed in her new assignment.

It would be recalled that Dame Patience Jonathan had launched several blistering attacks on General Buhari during her several campaign outings, including an allegation that the fromer head of state was ‘brain dead’.

Nigerian prostitutes congratulate Buhari, declare nationwide free sex

The National Association of Nigeria Prostitutes, NANP, has congratulated the presidential candidate of APC, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari on his victory in the just concluded presidential election.

The group while describing Buhari’s emergence as the president-elect as victory for all Nigerians, equally saluted the outgoing leader, President Goodluck Jonathan for accepting defeat without pushing further.

Restating its earlier promise, the group said it is declaring three days of free sex nationwide to celebrate Buhari’s victory.

The group had in a statement issued in January promised declare a-three day free sex across the country if president Jonathan eventually loses the seat to Gen. Muhammadu Buhari of APC.

NANP in a text message forwarded to DAILY POST Wednesday morning urged its members nationwide to comply with the directive.

The terse statement sent by its National Secretary, Jessica Elvis called on Buhari to legalise commercial sex work as well as improve their welfare.

Bruce Jenner Has Reportedly Done 'Breast Implants'

Bruce Jenner secretly underwent a breast augmentation two weeks ago, which was one of the final steps in making the former Olympian's gender reassignment complete. 

"Bruce had silicone breast implants put in a few weeks ago. He went with a smaller implant because he didn’t want to look ridiculous," a source dished to Radar.

"Recovery hasn’t been that difficult, but Bruce has had to sleep in a recliner to help with the healing. Obama praises President Jonathan for conceding defeat

President Barack Obama praised Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan on Wednesday for conceding defeat in an election that he said showed “Nigeria’s commitment to democratic principles.”

“President Jonathan has placed his country’s interests first by conceding the election and congratulating president-elect (Muhammadu) Buhari on his victory,” Obama said in a White House statement. Buhari won the election by 2.57 million votes official results showed Wednesday, defeating incumbent Jonathan in a close fought race.

“I look forward to working with President Jonathan throughout the remainder of his term, and I thank him for his many years of service and his statesmanlike conduct at this critical juncture."

“The last few days have shown the world the strength of Nigeria’s commitment to democratic principles. By turning out in large numbers and sometimes waiting all day to cast their votes, Nigerians came together to decide the future of their country peacefully.”

President-elect, Buhari receives his certificate of return from INEC

Muhammadu Buhari, Nigeria’s president-elect, has been issued a Certificate of Return by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

The chairman of INEC, Attahiru Jega, handed the certificate to Mr. Buhari, and the vice president-elect, Yemi Osinbajo, on Wednesday.

Mr. Buhari defeated President Goodluck Jonathan in the presidential election held Saturday.

Speaking after receiving the certificate, Mr. Buhari said “Change has finally come” to Nigeria.

He said Nigeria’s “long night has passed”.

Prof. Jega Declares Buhari As The Elected President of Nigeria

Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Attahiru Jega, has announced the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Muhammadu Buhari, as the winner of the presidential election.

Buhari defeated the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, President Goodluck Jonathan, to emerge victorious at the polls.

While making the announcement, Jega said “that Muhammadu Buhari, having met the requirements of the law, is now declared the winner of the election.”

The APC candidate got the highest number of votes in 21 states with over 15 million votes while the PDP standard bearer prevailed in 15 states (including the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja) with over 1,2853,162 votes.

Confort Sonaiya of KOWA Party received 13,076 votes.

Consequently, Buhari will take over from incumbent President, Goodluck Jonathan, on May 29.

The world's oldest person has died; a few weeks after celebrating her 117th birthday

The world's oldest person - a woman from Japan The world's oldest person - a woman from Japan - has died a few weeks after celebrating her 117th birthday.

Misao Okawa died at the nursing home where she had been living with relatives and care workers by her side, a manager at the home said.

The manager Tomohiro Okada praised her for achieving a long, healthy life.

"She went so peacefully, as if she had just fallen asleep. We miss her a lot," he said.

Ms Okawa was born in Osaka on 5 March, 1898 and was recognised as the oldest person in the world in 2013 by Guinness World Records.

Guinness World Records said it was now in the process of searching for her successor.

Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare said the country's oldest person was now a 115-year-old woman from Tokyo.

The name of the woman, who was born 15 March, 1900, was not released at the request of her family, the ministry said.

Okawa lost her appetite about 10 days ago, according to the home where she had been living.

Until then, she had been eating well, enjoying her daily cup of coffee and her favourite dishes, including ramen.

She is said to have died from heart failure.

Born the daughter of a kimono maker, Ms Okawa married her husband Yukio in 1919 before having two daughters and a son.

She said at her recent birthday celebration that her life seemed rather short. Asked for the secret of her longevity, she responded nonchalantly: "I wonder about that too."

She was survived by four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Her husband died in 1931.

Japan has the most centenarians in the world, with more than 58,000, according to the government. About 87% of them are women.

AU Congratulates Buhari; Commends Jonathan For Accepting Election Result

African Union (AU) chief, Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma congratulated Muhammadu Buhari for winning Nigeria’s presidential election, praising outgoing leader Goodluck Jonathan for graciously accepting the results.

Dlamini-Zuma, on Wednesday in a statement released at the Ethiopian headquarters of the 54-member AU bloc, said the result demonstrates the maturity of democracy in Nigeria.

He added that he hoped the people will be united in facing the challenges of stability, security and development in their country.

Nigeria’s Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) said Buhari won 15,424,921 votes, or 53.95 per cent, of the 28,587,564 total valid ballots cast.

President-Elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari has assured Nigerians that he will be a leader the nation need and not a maximum ruler, saying the change Nigerians are yearning for has finally come.

Addressing newsmen this morning, Buhari also assured that he will work closely with President Jonathan to ensure a smooth transition from one government to the other.

Below, is full text of his acceptance speech:

“At exactly 5:15pm this (Tuesday) evening, President Jonathan called to congratulate me on my victory. For this, I want all Nigerians to join me incongratulating and appreciating Mr President for his statesmanship. 

“President Jonathan engaged in a spirited campaign and was a worthy opponent. I extend my hand of fellowship to him. I look forward to meeting him soon as we plan the transition from one administration to another. He will receive nothing but understanding, cooperation and respect from me and my team. 

“The good people of Nigeria, answered the call of history. When the account of this fine moment is written, it will be said that it was the people themselves who led this nation to democracy. 

“You stood in line patiently for hours in the sun, rain and then in the dark to cast your ballots. Even when the vote was extended to Sunday in some places, you still performed your civic duty. You did so peacefully. 

“You voted with your heart. Your vote affirms that you believe Nigeria’s future can be better than what it is today. You voted for change and now change has come. 

“INEC has released the official results of the Presidential election. INEC has declared that I gained the most votes with the required spread and thus won this election. In a more profound way, it is you, Nigerians that have won. The people have shown their love for our nation and their belief in democracy.

“The declaration of INEC accurately reflects the will of the people. While there might have been some logistical obstacles and irregularities associated with the exercise,the result shall stand as what the people want.

“I thank all Nigerians who have made this day possible. Our country has now joined the community of nations that have used the ballot box to peacefully change an incumbent President in a free and fair election. To me this is indeed historic.

“Most people will welcome the result because it is the one they voted for. Others will naturally be disappointed. I ask that we all be circumspect, respectful and peaceful in these times.“This was a hard- fought contest. Emotions are high. We must not allow them to get the better of us. This is not the time for confrontation. This is a moment that we must begin to heal the wounds and work toward a better future. We do this first by extending a hand of friendship and conciliation across the political divide. We hope and pray our friends in other parties reciprocate.

“I thank all the members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for their commitment and their hard work through the formation of the party, the campaigns and the Presidential elections. Let me equally extend my appreciation to the MEDIA, Civil Society and the Security agencies for their selfless service.

“The International press and our friends abroad deserve special commendation for their support throughout the process. We promise a robust and dynamic engagement with your countries in matters of mutual interest to nations.

“In the interim, I call on all Nigerians to be law abiding and peaceful. The eyes of the world were focused on us to see if we could vote in a peaceful way and carry out a representative election in an orderly manner. You have proven to the world that we are a people who have embraced democracy and a people who seek a of government by, for and of the people.

“We have put one party state behind us. You have voted for a party and president that will serve and govern but never rule over you. Change has come. A new day and a new Nigeria are upon us. The victory is yours and the glory is that of our nation – Nigeria

Fellow Nigerians,

I thank you all for turning out en-masse for the March 28 General Elections. I promised the country free and fair elections. I have kept my word. I have also expanded the space for Nigerians to participate in the democratic process. That is one legacy I will like to see endure.

Although some people have expressed mixed feelings about the results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), I urge those who may feel aggrieved to follow due process based on our constitution and our electoral laws, in seeking redress.

As I have always affirmed, nobody’s ambition is worth the blood of any Nigerian. The unity, stability and progress of our dear country is more important than anything else.

I congratulate all Nigerians for successfully going through the process of the March 28^thGeneral Elections with the commendable enthusias m and commitment that was demonstrated nationwide.

I also commend the Security Services for their role in ensuring that the elections were mostly peaceful and violence-free.

To my colleagues in the PDP, I thank you for your support. Today, the PDP should be celebrating rather than mourning. We have established a legacy of democratic freedom, transparency, economic growth and free and fair elections.

For the past 16 years, we have steered the country away from ethnic and regional politics. We created a Pan-Nigerian political party and brought home to our people the realities of economic development and social transformation.
