A 46-year-old man in Onigbedu community in Ewekoroo LGA of Ogun state, Sunday Olubusayo beheaded his wife, and their 3-year-old daughter before committing suicide.
The Police PRO in the state, Mr Muyiwa Adejobi said everyone was clueless as to why the man murdered his family and committed suicide.
He however, said that investigations showed that the couple had a quarrel before the incident.
The PPRO said a blood stained matchet and knife were recovered from the scene.
He said the commissioner of police in the state, Mr Ikemefuna Okoye has ordered investigations into the incident and that the case be transferred to head office in Abeokuta, for thorough investigation.
The corpses of the deceased have been deposited at the morgue, for autopsy.
