Popular and Award winning actress, Omotola Ekeinde made a guest appearance at the TEEP Camp hosted by Business Mogul, Tony Elemelu.

The TEEP Camp (Tony Elemelu entrepreneurship programme) gives training, mentorship and seed capital to entrepreneurs with start-up business ideas they want to execute in Africa. By doing so, TEEP embodiesAfricapitalism, the economic philosophy that Elumelu coined.

Omotola whose recent campaign is to eradicate poverty in Africa, wore a black caped jumpsuit and black pencil stilettos, with gold earrings.

Also Present were, VP Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, Tony O. Elumelu, Prime Minister of Benin Republic, Bishop David Oyedepo and others.

Woman refuses to pay restaurant bill because Jesus will pay it (Photos)

A woman was arrested on a charge of fraud after refusing to pay her restaurant bill, saying that Jesus will pay it, police in South Carolina said.

Myrtle Beach police said that they arrested 51-year-old April Lee Yates, after she refused to pay her bill at the Bennetts Calabash restaurant around 9:00 p.m. on Sunday.

According to the police investigation, managers at the restaurant told Yates to leave, but she refused to do so. Yates was in the restaurant for nearly four hours before she began disturbing other diners.

Yates was asked to pay her $26 bill and leave, but she refused. Police officers who arrived at the scene, asked Yates if she had any money.

When Yates said that she did not, the officers asked her how she planned to pay her bill. Yates explained that Jesus was going to pay her bill.

Yates was arrested for defrauding a restaurant and booked into the Myrtle Beach jail.

Bomb Blast Rocks Damaturu This Sallah Morning

A bomb exploded in Damaturu, Yobe State this morning around 8 a.m. at the Eid prayer ground. At least three people have been reported killed.

The Eid ground hit by the blast is located at an area called phase-one along Maiduguri Road detonated by a female suicide bomber.

A Damaturu resident said that residents are being asked to go back home and the Eid ground closed

Sallah message from our president below..

Fellow Compatriots, I greet and felicitate with you all, especially our citizens of the Islamic faith on this auspicious occasion of the 2015 Eid-el-Fitr celebrations.

I congratulate all those who have successfully completed the Ramadan fast in keeping with the injunction of our Creator.

Although we have come to the end of this year’s month of Ramadan, I believe that a greater acceptance by Nigerians of its key lessons of self-denial and sacrifice will serve our dear country well as we strive to overcome our present challenges, undo the damage done by years of bad governance and accelerate the pace of national development.

Reviewing our dire circumstances and the many missed opportunities of the past, some commentators and observers have said that this is Nigeria’s last chance to get its act together and finally begin to fulfill its God-given potential for greatness.

While not going that far, I certainly believe that now, more than ever before, our country needs greater self-denial, sacrifice and patriotism from all of its citizens, if we are to quickly recover from our numerous problems and start moving in a positive direction.

This current period of our life as a nation offers us a great opportunity to break from the vicious triangle of insecurity, corruption and under-developme

nt. We must collectively resolve to seize this opportunity and unite to confront our problems.

I remain wholly committed to giving the required leadership towards undoing the wrongs of the past, ensuring that Nigeria truly begins to unlock its great potential and that the benefits of our immense national resources are shared and enjoyed by all, not just by successive cabals of corrupt leaders and their cronies.

I was very aware of your high expectations when I assumed office and I reassure you, my fellow citizens, that since my inauguration on the 29th of May this year, I have been working with utmost dedication to meticulously plan and tackle the many national challenges which we identified and promised to resolve.

To succeed however, I need your continued support, understanding and patience.

I fully understand and share the thirst of my long-suffering compatriots for corruption-freegovernment institutions that work efficiently to deliver visible development for the benefit of all citizens.

I also share the feelings of those who think that we should be moving faster. But I urge them and all Nigerians to trust that my commitment to real and positive change in our nation is as firm as ever.

There is indeed much work to be done, but we must do it well and carefully to ensure that the great opportunity which we now have is not lost to the “business as usual” group who selfishly or shortsightedly prefer a status quo that panders to their personal or group interests.

The adverse effects of years of rot, corruption, inept and bad governance on our nation are immense, but certainly not insurmountable if we all resolve now to place the well-being of our nation above all other considerations and work whole-heartedly with the present administration to achieve greater peace and security across the nation, and reposition our country for faster economic development and progress.

May Almighty Allah continue to guide us and bless our dear nation.

Man bites off robber’s ear in Aba.....Graphic Photo

Nemesis have caught up with a suspected robber, Chijioke Ikechi as a victim bite off his ear lobe during a robbery attack at No.9 Ukaegbu road, Ogbor Hill, Aba, Abia state. Ikechi and three other members of his gang had invaded the residence, disposed their victim of N300, 000 and inflicted a machete cut on a resident, Ndubuisi Mba.

Vanguard gathered that residents of the area sent a distress call to a police patrol team as one of the victims held on to Ikechi after biting off his ear lobe while other members of the gang fled on sighting the police.

“We heard shouts that armed robbers were robbing near our house and called the police who did not waste time to come. When they saw the police, other armed robbers ran away, the victim held on to one of them and the police arrested him. We commend the Police team for answering our call,” 

Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Abia state Command, Ezekiel Udeviotu Onyeke, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, who confirmed the incident said the police recovered a machete and an iron pipe fitted with wood resembling a gun from the gang.

The PPRO added that Mba who sustained a machete cut has been receiving medical attention at an undisclosed hospital in the area and appealed to the public to volunteer useful information that could help to nab the fleeing gang members.

Super Eagles will fly again – Sunday Oliseh vows

New Super Eagles boss, Sunday Oliseh, has promised to return the team back to its glory days.

The 40-year-old was unveiled as replacement for Stephen Keshi on Wednesday and has signed a three-year contract

Citizen Uche, the man who ran away from his family in February after his wife, Ruth informed him that she was having their third set of twins, has returned home. He returned home yesterday July 15.

According to The Nation, Emeka returned to their new house in Ogun state. The Uches, who were living in a dilapidated house in Agege prior to this coming out, have moved to a mini flat in Ogun state with the money she received from kindhearted Nigerians who came to her rescue.


Speaking about why he ran, the run-away father said;

"Like I told you on phone, it was not easy for me. I contemplated suicide on several occasions. I cannot believe I am here, holding my kids for the first time since they were born three months ago. When I left, I initially went to the village where I spent a month. After that, I came back to Lagos but stayed with my friend around Oko-Oba in Agege. I still live with him I know that I was not far from them, but I just did not went to return without a better solution on how to cater for my home. I was ashamed too to come back to that house to see them after I’d abandoned them and run away. But after our discussions and my wife told me that they had moved, I went to our old house and asked one of the neighbors who had been here for direction so that I could come and see them,” he said

His wife Ruth expressed gratitude to God and the Lagos state government for uplifting her family, saying that even her mother inlaw who never used to call her now calls her frequently

"Would I have ever lived in this kind of house with my family and I having a toilet and kitchen to ourselves? I moved in here on Sunday and I am so happy and grateful. Aunty, come and see our bedroom; have you seen the toilet? See our kitchen. See me now! I have a room and parlour self-contained. What more can I want, except for my husband to come and enjoy this good life with me? People who used to laugh at us for not having food to eat can now see how God works. Even my mother-in-law who has not called me for so long now calls me. I am just so thankful to God because he did not allow me and my children die in shame. I have promised God that I will do my best to grow my business. I want to grow and be able to help women with similar case as mine. I want to be able to impact their lives in future as my life was touched and changed.”she said

Former US President George HW Bush Hospitalized After Breaking Bone In His Neck During Fall

Former United States President George H W Bush has fallen at home in the US state of Maine and broken a bone in his neck.

Spokesman Jim McGrath said that the 91-year-old Bush was in stable condition and is doing "fine" after Wednesday's fall.

He said in a tweet that the 41st president will be in a neck brace.

Bush was hospitalised in Houston in December for about a week for treatment of shortness of breath. He said he was "grateful to the doctors and nurses for their superb care" after his treatment there.

Bush is the oldest living former US president. He served two terms as Ronald Reagan's vice president before being elected the nation's president in 1988.
