Vladimir Putin beats Barack Obama again, as he tops Forbes power ranking

For a second year in a row, Russian President Vladimir Putin has beaten Barrack Obama to the title of Worlds Most Powerful Leader as ranked by Forbes.

It's the third time in Obama's presidency that he has lost billing - twice to Putin and once to Chinese leader Xi Jinping.

The 2014 list of 72 power brokers was chosen to reflect one for every 100 million lesser mortals on Earth and the top 5 remained unchanged from last year.

Third place went to Jinping, who is expected to rule for a decade in which China is set to eclipse the US as the World's largest economy. Pope Francis was number  four and German Chancellor Angela Mekel as number five.

The list includes 17 heads of state who run nations with a combined GDP$48 trillion and 39 CEOs and Chairs who control $3.6 trillion revenue.

Beyonce Becomes The Highest Paid Woman In America Music Industry With $115

Beyonce has become the highest paid woman in music this year after earning $115m.

The 33-year-old singer took home double of what she pulled in last year after performing to millions on a world tour.   She rose from fourth place in 2013 and was firmly ahead of Taylor Swift, who came second in Forbe's magazine's list with earnings of $64m.

Beyonce also earned millions from her On The Run tour with her husband Jay Z.

Boko Haram Takes Over Ashaka Cement Factory In Gombe, Killing Five

According to recent reports, Boko Haram insurgents have taken over the Ashaka Cement Factory in Gombe.

The violent group was said to have gained control of the premises of the Cement factory after killing five people, including a Sheik in a neighboring town.

The sect also attacked a divisional Police headquarters in Nafada LGA of the state, on Tuesday. Residents of the town fled to the bush while the attack lasted.

Jay Z, Kanye West Faces Law Suit As They Are Accused Of Stealing Song

A man named Joel Mac claims Jay Z, Kanye West, and Frank Ocean stole a song from him and used it on their album Watch The Throne. According to a new federal lawsuit, Mac says that a few years ago, he was selling his CDs outside the Mercer Hotel in New York, where the trio had gathered to record the album.

Mac alleges that one of the projects producers, Mike Dean, bought one of the CDs in front of the building. He claims that Made In America, one of the track on Watch The Throne is a ripoff of his own song by the same title.
Mac original files for a lawsuit against the stars in New York, and has now taken the case to a federal court. He wants part of the profits generated from Watch The Throne.

The actress who has lots of tattoo on her body didn't mention names, but it seems she was slamming her fellow actress, Empress Njamah who recent said she can never have tattoo and they are Mark Of The Beast.

Looks like Angelina Jolie has another career in mind, might quit acting for politics

39-year-old Oscar winning actress, Angelina Jolie is the cover of "Vanity Fair" December 2014 issue.

She told the magazine in an interview that, she's open to exploring new opportunities.

"When you work as a humanitarian, you are conscious that politics has to be considered. Because if you really want an extreme change, then you have a responsibility."

However, Jolie has not decided on the role that would be appropriate for her.

"But i honestly don't know in what role i would be useful. I am conscious of what i do for a living, and that could make it less possible"she said.

Meanwhile, Jolie continues with her movie career and is currently working on a new film, which she's directing and starring in with her husband, Brad Pitt.

Beyonce set to drop new album on November 24

The rumours are true...so it seems. Beyonce will release a new album on November 24, but will only contain two new songs, 7/11 and Ring off.

According to a press release, "Beyonce Platinum Edition" Box Set will include two CDS and DVDs, the two new tracks and four new remixes of the original self - titled album released last year.

Wizkid set to leave EME, as he prepares to drop an album

Wizkid has apparently revealed the date, when he will leave Empire State Entertainment(EME) record label.
The singer already made it clear that his sophomore album, AYO, is the last project he would be releasing under EME records.

He took to his Twitter to simply tweet;

Industry observers have said, it might just be the date when his contract with EME run by Banky W, expires.

President Jonathan Set To Launch N100 Centenary Note On Wednesday

Tomorrow, President Goodluck Jonathan will unveil the specially designed commemorative N100 note by the Central Bank of Nigeria(CBN). The unveiling of this new note is part of the CBN's contribution to the Centenary celebration of the country - 100 years of being known as Nigeria, which happened when the North and South were amalgamated by Lord Lugard.

The new note is said to retain the traditional portrait of Chief Obafemi Awolowo on the front with traditional dancers at the back. Part of the features of the bank note is the inscription of the theme of the Centenary Celebration: "One Nigeria, Great Promise" as a micro-test.

Oscar Pistorius Prosecutors File For An Appeal

Prosecutors have filed for an appeal against the verdict of culpable homicide against Oscar Pistorius and the five year jail sentence he received.

"Today we announce that the NPA filed the application for leave to appeal both the conviction and sentence" The National Prosecutors Authorities said in a statement.

The Olympic and paralympic athlete killed his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp after shooting through a locked door four times in the early hours of Valentine's day in 2013.

Panel beater has been arrested for beating LAGBUS staff to coma

A panel beater has been arrested by the police for allegedly punching a staff of LAGBUS(Lagos state government-owned high commuter bus) unconscious at Idiroko area of Ikorodu road, Lagos.

The panel beater, Sarafa Rasak, 26, was alleged to have beaten Oladele Oluwatobi, a sales representative and ticketer attached to the bus, over a disagreement.

The LAGBUS staff, whose nose was broken in the attack, was rushed to the Accident and Emergency Unit at Old Tollgate, Lagos- Ibadan expressway.

According to Rasak, an argument began when the bus refused to stop at Anthony. He denied beating Oluwatobi, but that he tripped and fell.

Rasak was arrested and brought to LAGBUS office from where he was handed over to the police.

GEJ has not transform anything in Nigeria, does not deserve 2nd term - Fashola

According to Governor of Lagos state, Babatunde Fasshola, the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan has failed Nigerians and so, he does not deserve a second term.

Fashola made this observation in Lagos at the opening ceremony of Women in Business Conference on Monday.

Fashola said since Jonathan assumed office, the nation's power supply has worsened while unemployment is on the rise. He said it is unfortunate that Nigeria, a major oil exporter, still depends on importation.

"Where the North East is under siege and the economy has continued to nosedive, the transformation ambassadors have continued to distort the true information that all is well. All it takes to cripple our economy by those countries from where we buy oil is to say they won't sell to us any longer."

"We have seen a good example where the country was denied access from buying arms. This is the situation we are in as regards importation of oil. In 2010 alone, we spent N2.5 trillion importing fuel into the country. Now, we have less money to import. If we can't pay for oil importation, we all know it's implication for the country. In no distant future, the fuel queues will return."

"The government has yet to give us power as promised, they have yet to give us fuel, we have yet to see the standard highways they promised. They are so many Nigerians living without electricity." He said

Abuja Bomb Blast Victims Protest Over Negligence

Victims of Boko Haram attacks in Abuja, on Monday protested against poor attention by the Federal Government to their plights, saying they are suffering from extreme negligence.

The victims also claimed they were abandoned in various hospitals, lamenting that their bills that have accumulated have not been paid.

The victims who converged at the Millenium Park fountain; venue for the #BringBackOurGirls demostrations said they will continue with the protest if the Federal Government turns deaf ears to their plight.

The mugshot of Sean Kory, a guy arrested by the Police for an assault on a fellow Halloween reveler on Friday, has gone viral on the internet.

A few hours after his arrest, the Santa Cruz Police Department released his mugshot for the world to see. Ladies immediately took a liking to the hot guy in the mugshot.

Sean Korry is now being compared to Jeremy Meeks,  another 'hot' criminal who gained his share of Internet stardom in June, when his mugshot was released. The guy who became an overnight Internet sensation, after women went nuts on social media over his looks.

Tragedy As 8-year-old Girl Was Killed By A Tiger After Sneeking Into Its Cage For A Closer Look

A little girl has been mauled to death by a Circus Tiger after slipping through bars and into its cage to get a closer look at the fearsome beast.

Eight-year-old Juan Niu, was attacked after sneaking off from her family to get a closer look at the huge predators. She was taken to Leheledu Amusement park in China, while visiting relatives.

Park managers had hired a traveling Circus to entertain visitors and had set up temporary holding pens for the animals. The young girl walked up to the cage and managed to slip through iron bars at which point she was pounced on by a tiger, and attacked in front of horrified park visitors.

Although animals trainers were quickly at the scene to rescue the child, she was barely alive when she was rushed to the hospital and was declared dead on arrival.

The park has offered the family compensation and promised to beef up security to make sure nothing like this happened again.

World Trade Center Reopens Thirteen Years After The 9/11 Terrorist Attack

Thirteen years after the September 11 terrorist attack, the resurrected World Trade Center is again opening for business.

The skyscraper at 1,776ft(541m), is currently America's tallest building.

The  eight-year construction came after years of political, financial and legal infighting that threatened to derail the project.

More than 2,700 people died on the 11 September terrorist attack.
