So, naim make, apart from places…the people who call me atimes, both the little cash they can give me…drugs and all that…but I discovered that this thing [the illness] is a lifetime something.
And it has robbed me of the job [acting]. And now, if I get a script, it will be hard for me to read it very well. And if I read it, if I strain my eyes for so long, it would look as if someone would lead me around the house or anywhere I want to go because it will affect the only one [eye]. Omawumi welcomes 2nd child will husband, Tosin Yusuf

Singer, Omawumi has given birth to her second child, a baby boy with husband, Tosin Yusuf.

According to City People, the ‘Bottom Belle’ singer delivered the newborn in the early hours of today, July 18, 2015 in a US hospital.

The singer gave birth to her first child, Kamilah Yusuf a little over 4 years ago, precisely in June 2011....

Father ‘tortures own kid for stealing N500′

Eight-year-old Shina Adegbolu, a basic three pupil in Ikotun area of Lagos caught the eye of the nurse who wanted to attend to him when he was taken for treatment at the Igando General Hospital on July 5, 2015.
The nurse knew something was wrong as soon as he saw the boy and his injuries.
Shina’s 34-year-old father, Idris, came to the hospital like every other normal parent when he took him for treatment with the complaint that the boy fell down and sustained an injury on his buttocks.
But the nurse who was operating with an investigative mind, tactically separated the boy from his father and asked about the true cause of the extensive sore that had developed on the boy’s buttocks.
Shina quietly explained that he had not been able to sit for about five days since his father gave him a violent beating with a stick for stealing.
The nurse treated the boy but rather than confront the father, she took down his address and phone number and contacted a non-governmental organisation for action on the boy’s case.
The boy’s father defensively played things down. He said, “I only beat him once because he stole N500. I don’t usually beat him and I was just angry that day. That was why I beat him. The beating did not cause the sore. It was after he could not sit down that his step-mother used warm water to treat the buttocks and a tiny wound there developed into the sore.”

Etcetera Explains Why Nigerian Men Cheat Using Toke Makinwa's Situation

Y'all need to read this and let's know if you agree with him. Etcetera's new piece for the weekend is out and this time, he is on some relationship advice mood. From asking why Nigerian women aren't tired of asking why Nigerian men cheat on women they love over and over again to saying men will naturally desire variety when it comes to romantic/sexual partners.

That even if a man has true everlasting unending love for his woman, he can STILL desire another woman he fancies. Read and let's hear your thoughts.
When you heard the news that Toke Makinwa’s husband impregnated his girlfriend, you all took to social media to rain insults on Nigerian men. Why men cheat on women they love became a topic for all female radio presenters in the country.
Aren’t you all tired of asking the same question over and over as if it is some perplexing unfathomable mystery?
Your question is rhetorical, but since it keeps coming up again and again, let me provide some explanations to help you understand the reasons. I will simply tell it like it is, with
no bull, tact, or political correctness.
It’s just that oftentimes; women do not accept the explanations. But in fact, one can understand it through common sense. Sometimes a man would cheat on his wife or girlfriend because he doesn’t love her anymore; he is bored with her, or even possibly unhappy with their relationship.
In such scenarios, even women can become unfaithful as well. Women must understand that men are fundamentally different from them and wired differently too. We all know this but feminists try to suppress or deny this universal fact. A man craves variety and seeks novelty, while women prefer familiarity. Men will naturally desire variety when it comes to romantic/sexual partners more than women will. Men easily get bored by the same thing every day or a routine and we are sometimes afraid to voice this.
Think about this. You ate your favourite eba and egusi soup, and on the second day that you ate it, the pleasure would be noticeably less than the first day. And after a week of eating it, you’d get tired of it and start to strongly desire to eat something else. Your desire for that eba will have diminished at that point.
I know what you are thinking now, “You can’t compare food with people” right? That’s the typical female reaction to this analogy. However, I’m sorry to say that this analogy does apply because it’s one of the best and simplest ways that it can be explained.
I am not trying to objectify people. But by accepting such an analogy, it will start making sense to you that men are more visually stimulated than women are. And when a man relies on visual stimulation for arousal, the stimulation wears off at some point, which then requires new stimulation from new women. Got the drift? In other words, visual stimulation is a sensual thing that is fleeting in nature and requires constant variety in order to maintain the stimulation. Thus, men who seek visual stimulation will require variety from more than one partner or lover.
Women often argue that “true love” never gets old. But the notion of “true love” is indefinable, very personable, and highly subjective. And even for the sake of this argument, if we agree that “true love” never gets old and never wears out, that still doesn’t change what we’re talking about here.
You see, even if a man has true everlasting unending love for his woman, he can STILL desire another woman he fancies. That’s what our women have to understand, rather than cling to naïve clichés of society. A woman’s heart tends to be able to love only one man at a time, a man’s heart is different and can truly love MORE THAN ONE woman at a time. This might be hard for you to accept, and unfathomable to your values and beliefs about “love.” But it is the truth.
A man’s heart is molded differently with multiple chambers that enable him to love and desire multiple women. It’s like a tree with different branches, rather than just one. Men usually won’t admit it, because our society doesn’t accept this, but condemns it.
Ladies, to understand this, think about all the different colours you love. You love pink and sky blue, or red, blue, black and purple. Now, can you like more than one colour at a time? Of course you can! You like the different colours in different ways, on different things, and for the different ambiance and mood that each colour accentuates, right? Likewise, you can like more than one type of cuisine right? Can you like Chinese and Italian foods at the same time? Of course you can. Even if society said you could only like one type of cuisine, it wouldn’t make a difference, would it? After all, society may attempt to create mutually exclusivities, but reality doesn’t.
These are painfully obvious examples, and I am not arguing that people are like colours or food, but such simple analogies do describe what’s going on inside those who love more than one person or like having many lovers. Just because a man tells more than one woman that he “loves her,” desires her, or has feelings for her, does NOT make him a “playboy” or “liar.”
He is not necessarily “playing” in terms of acting, nor does it mean he is using people in some sort of pretend “game” where he doesn’t care about their feelings. These are just false judgements by the society especially a feminist or female dominated society like Nigeria is fast becoming.
To some women, it doesn’t make sense and doesn’t fit their definition of love and loyalty. But it’s the truth. That’s reality and you’ve got to accept it if you want to try to understand it. Not all men unequivocally attach loyalty to true love. Society might do so, but not all human beings do. What women have to understand is that being in a loving relationship does NOT automatically erase one’s desire for other people.
Of course, men who have multiple partners often do have to lie to the women they romance, by telling them that they are the only one when confronted with the issue. So that is one area in which men commonly lie. However, it doesn’t make them dishonest people in general. It’s just that since most women cannot accept that their partner can pursue someone else beside them, demanding total monogamy in love; men with multiple desires for multiple women are FORCED to lie in order to prevent chaos and failure in courtship. There is no easy way around it. And that is the case even if they are generally honest men. (After all, who hasn’t lied? Everyone has at one time or another, so stop pretending to be an angel!)
Loving or desiring multiple women has nothing to do with right or wrong, or being good or bad. It is simply a lifestyle and often these men are simply expressing who they are. Thus, infidelity does not make a man “bad” in a moral sense. Often, these men who romance multiple women are tender, caring, good-hearted, loving, nurturing people. Some are even deeply spiritual or religious.
He doesn’t love you? My dear, the line between love and lust is blurry and subject to personal opinion. There is no universal objective measuring stick for differentiating between “love” (which has so many different meanings anyway) and “lust.”
In reality, a man can find the perfect woman, who outshines the rest in his life, and can even have a perfect relationship with her, but still look at another woman he finds attractive and desires to court her, romance her, and experience the wonders and pleasures of her femininity as well.
Some men get a “high” or adrenaline rush from courting, romancing, or seducing new women, in a way that nothing else can, and thus are addicted to it.
My ladies, there are no perfect solutions or answers to everything. Just accept that some things in life are just meant to be endured, not fixed or solved like an equation.
To be continued next week.

Emeka Ike Appeals to his Wife to Come Back Home | Says ‘I am not a Wife Beater’

Penultimate weekend the news went viral that Emeka Ike had reportedly beaten his wife and she had sought for a divorce. The star actor has denied the allegations as untrue. In recent interviews, Emeka Ike said, “As I’m talking to you now, I have not received any divorce notice. There is nothing like that happened. I have not received any letter from anybody. I am a Christian, we don’t divorce.”

On his alleged habit of wife-battering, Emeka Ike said that he has lived with his wife(a mother of 4) for 13 years: “If I am a wife beater, she wouldn’t have lived with me for this long. She spent the first year, second year and so on, and she did not label me as a wife beater. Why is she doing so now? If my wife says I am a wife beater, the children would have witnessed such. I have a 14-year-old boy who is grown and has moustache now, you can ask him if I have ever beaten his mother. Never in my life have I raised my hand to beat my wife. I adore that woman and I love her a lot. If she wants to use my love against me, no problem and if people do not believe me, they should go to my former residence in Lagos to ask my neighbours if they ever heard that I beat my wife.
Rather when my wife starts making noise like women normally do, I use that period to train my children. I would ask my children like this, ‘what do you do when a woman begins to nag at home?’ They would tell you that the next thing to do is pick your car keys and drive off. That is the normal training I give my sons so that they would never beat their wives. If my wife wants to leave me, she should have just said that it is due to irreconcilable differences and not that I am a wife beater.
“It would mean that she is trying to get unnecessary sympathy and I don’t think she would say such. When I showed my children what was on the internet, they were sad and said that it was a lie because I don’t beat their mother. I am a father of four children and I must protect them first before I even protect myself. That is why I would never say any bad thing about their mother. God would judge us all in life. Anyone who sees my wife should tell her to come back home to her children because they need her.”

I was earning N1m per movie before I left Nigeria –Shola Shobowale(Toyin Tomato)

Shola Shobowale had been gracing our television screens for decades before she travelled to London for greener pastures. Even when she was abroad, she made it a prerogative to often come to Nigeria to shoot some movies.
In an exclusive chat with Saturday Beats, the delectable actress stated that she earned as much as N1m per feature before she left the country. She is staging a comeback and seems upset with the state of the industry.
“When I left Nigeria, I took the industry along with me. The industry was very fantastic when I left but the reverse is the case now. I am here to make it better. During my time I was earning as much as a million naira for a movie feature. Now, people are producing movies with N500,000. God bless those that are endorsing entertainers because without them, people would be crying. How many actors are living solely on acting? Most of them do businesses by the side. When you see a doctor, he faces his hospital solely but we are still struggling. Before I left Nigeria, my children went to the best schools in the country because I know the value of education. I raised them up solely with the money I made from acting. Their tertiary education would have been in Nigeria but the education system was nothing to write home about. The industry is bad but we are going to change it. Things are very bad now. The quality of our production is very bad. When I was in the UK, I was coming to Nigeria to produce movies. I made my money back on a few but I lost out on a lot. There was a movie I invested N5m on but did not make more than N2m. We don’t have distribution channels and the government is not helping. We rebranded Nigeria and changed people’s perception of the country. Now, Nigeria is no more seen as a drug trafficking country. Nigeria is the third largest movie producing country in the world but the government is doing nothing to help the industry,” she said.

Woman born with two wombs falls into labour every time she menstruates (Photos)

A 23-year-old British woman, Sophie Loader, is suffering from a rare condition that makes her go into labour each month during her menstruation. The woman who was born with two wombs endures the pains for at least 72 hours when it comes.

Loader was born with uterus bicornis, a condition that fills her second womb with blood – mimicking a full-term baby. The only way she can cope with the pain is through breathing exercises, Mirror UK, reports.
I’ve been in labour more than 100 times, but only once for real. To say that it’s a pain would be an understatement.
“It might shock women to hear I have been in labour more than one hundred times. When I was 13 and the contractions started, I had never felt pain like it and couldn’t understand what was happening to me, it was terrifying – even the doctor thought I might be pregnant.
“When I had my son, Chase, I was drugged but I can’t compare the pain of real labour to my fake contractions. But I wouldn’t wish this on any woman. One labour is more than enough.
“I was hospitalised more than 30 times because I couldn’t cope with the symptoms. Each time they would give me gas and air to control the pain. In the end, all doctors could do was teach me how to control my contractions using breathing exercises that real women in labour use,” she said.
After the birth, Sophie had the contraceptive implant fitted and now only goes into ‘fake labour’ once every three months.

Teen rapes 82-year-old woman and makes her swear on Bible that she won't call police (Photo)

An elderly woman was brutally raped by a man who made her swear on a Bible that she will not call the police.

The 82-year-old woman of Brooklyn, New York, was left traumatized after she was raped and forced by the rapist to swear on a Bible that she would not call the police or else he would kill her, the family of the victim said.

A relative of the 82-year-old victim said that she was bruised from head to toe after surviving the ordeal, which last more than 4 hours at her home in Brighton Beach.
“She is not doing well. She has not slept since this happened and she is very traumatized,” the family member said.
Police arrested 18-year-old Asa Roberts, after his fingerprints were found in the victim’s bedroom and he was seen on video arriving and leaving the home.

After Roberts left, the victim called her family members as she was scared to call the police. Her children called the police and Roberts was arrested.

Nigerians rate Buhari’s govt. 70% in first month despite perceived slow pace

A recently conducted public survey by NOI Polls, an opinion research agency established by a former Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, says 70 per cent of Nigerians surveyed approved President Muhammadu Buhari’s performance in office in the first month.

NOI Polls works in partnership with a United States-based The Gallup Poll to conduct periodic opinion polls and studies on various socio-economic and political issues in Nigeria.

The President’s assessment poll, according to a statement on the agency’s website on Wednesday, was conducted to gauge the opinions of Nigerians regarding the approval rating of the President’s first 30 days in office and the current state of power supply in the country.

According to the poll, the President recorded 87 per cent approval rating in the North-East, North-West and North-Central zones while the South-East zone accounted for the greatest percentage of respondents who disapproved of the President’s performance.
