According to reports, Bash Ali arrived at the said bank, Nigerian Export – Import Bank (NEXIM) to query its manager on why the directive from the President to issue some amount of money for the sponsorship of a Guinness Book of World Record fight had not been met. He was however shut down and accused of trespassing.
The Bank further accused the boxer of threatening to blow up their premises.
He was said to have arrived the bank with three other men.
The police soon arrived the scene and four of them were arrested and charged for nuisance the following day at an Abuja court afte r spending the night at SARS.
Ali however said the reason why the bank has not been showing so much interest in the project or willing to release the funds was because they demanded a 10 per cent bribe from him – which he out rightly declined.
“And now they are trying to silent me because I have decided to speak out and take action,” he explained.
He denied threatening to blow up the NEXIM office saying, “I never said I will bomb their office. If any institution owned by government disobeys the order of Mr. President because of corruption, that institution should be closed down. That is what I said.”
Hearing on the nuisance and threat to life charges, as well as Mr. Ali’s bail application, begins on March 4, 2015.

Buhari is too frail to be president- Fayose | You’re a psychopath obsessed with me – Buhari

Governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose, has continued with his attack on APC Presidential candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), whom he described as too weak and frail to govern Nigeria.

In spite of the confirmation by former British Prime Minister, Tony Blair, saying he met with Buhari in London, the Ekiti governor insists that Buhari was in the United Kingdom for other reasons, other than a political tour.

Fayose made the assertions at a press briefing in Abuja on Monday, stating that Buhari held an interview with foreign journalists in a suite at the Transcorps Hilton Hotel, Abuja, and not the UK as being projected by the opposition party.

According to him, this “exposes the deceitful nature of the opposition and qualifies the APC candidate for failure at the polls come March 28.”

Speaking further, Fayose said: “I don’t have anything against the North. I also don’t have anything against General Buhari. But one thing is certain. The General is too weak, too frail to be President.”

“He can’t even be the governor of his state let alone being the President of this country,” he added.

Reacting to such allegations, the Director of Media and Information of Buhari Support Organisation, said he is in dire need of medical attention to cure him of his compulsive obsession with Buhari.
“The Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Ayo Fayose, is suffering from what we call in medicine, ‘obsessive compulsive disorder’ based on an appetite and a wish to see General Muhammadu Buhari dead.”
“He is a psychopath whose obsession has altered his sense of rational analysis of situations whenever he hears the name Buhari. Unfortunately, he is not God and does not have control of the life of our revered General.”
“Fayose should go back home and prepare to defend himself in the case of the massive rigging that led to the stolen mandate he currently enjoys and leave our General alone.”

I have no Facebook, Twitter accounts - OBJ disowns controversial tweets

Former president, Olusegun Obasanjo, has categorically stated that he does not have a account on any social media network.

While speaking in Abeokuta, Ogun State on Monday, February 23, the former chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, distanced himself from tweets credited to him.

On Sunday, February 22, a Twitter account, @newsvergeonline, posted a tweet claiming that Obasanjo had described the Director of Media and Publicity of the Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Organisation, Femi Fani-Kayode, as a ‘democracy wrecker.’

A Twitter account with the name, Olusegun A. Obasanjo, had posted a tweet with the caption, “Fani-Kayode is a democracy wrecker, who’s very fluent in stupidity. Give him food, and he will sing and do “shoki” dance for you.”

However, Obasanjo disowned the Twitter account, saying that all his previous accounts on the platform as well as Facebook had been blocked.

He said: “I don’t know where this comes from. I don’t have any account on either the Facebook or Twitter again. Go and block it.”

“Let me say that, nemesis will catch up with anyone doing this. It is illegal and criminal. If I have to pass any message to the good people of Nigeria, I know how to go about it with no controversy,” Obasanjo added.

Prepared For Death? Gov Fashola Buys Grave Side For Himself

It was so shocking to all present when Lagos state governor, Babatunde Fashola during the weekend, announced that he had bought his burial vault four years ago.
The incumbent governor revealed this, while inspecting a proposed cemetery site for both Muslims and Christians in the state. The proposed cemetery is located along Lekki-Epe Expressway, Lagos.
Fashola told journalists after inspecting the site that death is a necessary end that will come when it will come, saying there is the need for people to prepare for it.
“We are here to inspect a cemetery, we often don’t like to talk about, but there is a need for it because the population continues to expand and the Lekki sub-region is growing very fast.
If you look at it, the Ikoyi Cemetery, the Abari and all of that are more than 100 years old and they were built by colonialists and left behind for us and when you look at the way they have also managed them, many families cannot even visit the vaults where their loved ones are resting.
We have this strategic partnership now with the private sector and they are going to deliver a cemetery like no other. They will manage it and make the cost also competitive. There will be high, medium and low density vaults for people who really want to make a statement at their exit.
It is true of life that everyone who comes must go. So as we are building hospital to receive new born babies, schools to teach them survival skills in life and start businesses, we must also plan for the end and this may sound odd as some people don’t want to discuss it.
I have bought my own vault. It surprises people I paid for it about four years ago. I always tell people if you come here to life, you must plan to go. Those who don’t want to go shouldn’t come,” he stated to the utmost display to all.
