Cleric to Buhari: ‘Release Nnamdi Kanu, otherwise the Heavens will strike’

A cleric, Prophet Anthony Nwoko of the Church of God, says Heaven will fall if President Muhammadu Buhari doesn’t release Radio Biafra Director, Nnamdi Kanu, with immediate effect.
Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, is still being detained after a Federal High Court granted him bail from the custody of the Department of State Security.
While addressing a press conference at the end of a Prayer Summit organised by 24 pastors in Enugu, Prophet Nwoko chastised the leaders of the South East whom he described as selfish.
“I cannot find any clean political leader from the South East. The governors are selfish, self centered, and have never pursued any action that will uplift the overall well-being of Igbo nation.”
Furthermore, the cleric said the continued detention of Kanu was an act of injustice. “Buhari must release Nnamdi Kanu with immediate effect, otherwise the heavens will strike.”
Prophet Nwoko also described himself as the anointed savior sent on a special mission for the glory of God in Nigeria.
“The religious leaders saw the glory in the country but could not deliver the message to the nation, the judgment will be upon them for denying Christ, his glory. I was spiritually crowned for the nation and the world and was sent on a special mission for the glory of God.
“They should allow this light to materialize, if not crisis will overrun the nation as a whole, Prophet Nwoko is a chosen prophet, Igbos should seek for the prophet. The truth is finally here, but Nigeria finds it difficult to believe, the nation refuses to recognize the presence of the anointed saviour of the world because of tribalism.”
“The nation has gone against God’s will, they hide the truth about Jesus because of what they will eat, the spirit has advised Nigerians to crown the king of this nation for the world to bear witness of the second coming of the Holy One.”

Obasanjo has a message for rich and successful Nigerians (READ)

Former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, has urged wealthy Nigerians to participate in the development of their local communities.
Obasanjo said rather than wait for the government to develop every region of the country, the rich can assist in rural development.
The retired politician made the call over the weekend, while delivering a goodwill message at the 2015 edition of the Ibogun-Olaogun Day, in Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun state.
“Successful individuals who have made it in life will be doing the country a lot of good in reducing the menace of unemployment, only if they can interact with the rural areas and establish businesses in the rural communities without waiting for government.
“We don’t need to wait for government before developing our communities, particularly some of us who were raised from the village. We should not wait for any government ticket.
“Let us think of what we can do for ourselves and our communities; what we can do for ourselves to make our rural communities more habitable for us.
“When I was growing up in this community, there was no latrine, no bathroom, and no clinic. But today, there are over a dozen of people who would have died if the clinic we constructed through the community’s self-effort had not been in existence.
“Each of us can encourage village renewal; we don’t need to wait for government if we don’t want to tarry for too long. The need to raise fund for our community secondary school is borne out of the need that we cannot wait for government to do it all. We have to carry our load by ourselves before we say government should come to our aid. That is the reality today.”

I am not in Dubai to plot against Buhari, I am here on medical ground - Atiku

Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, on Sunday debunked reports that he was part of a conspiracy against President Muhammdau Buhari
He said “political mischief makers and enemies of unity,” alleged that he has been hosting political meetings against the current government at Burj Al-Arab, Dubai.
Atiku said contrary to the rumours, he was currently in Dubai with his family for physiotherapy on his injured knee.
In a statement by his media office in Abuja, yesterday, and signed by his Media Adviser, Mazi Paul Ibe, Atiku said he was embarrassed by the deliberate falsehoods being spread against him by political opponents who are bent on causing distraction for President Buhari at a time all energies should be channelled into helping the President actualise his change agenda.
Atiku stated that his medical treatment was his private affair, which should not be politicised by anybody to achieve sinister objectives.
He said: “Whether at home or abroad, the Turaki is preoccupied with his unassailable support to President Buhari and his administration, especially in this critical time, as it works assiduously to turn the fortunes of our dear country around and make Nigeria work for the greater good of Nigerians.
“Rumour mongers and mischief makers are toxic to the progress of the APC and the country at large”, adding that “the campaigns are gone, and therefore, all energies should be constructively devoted to the success of the Buhari administration.
“This is yet another plot of the enemies of our country and democracy to divide, divert attention and distract the APC in its avowed commitment to secure the country, provide jobs for the mass of unemployed youths, build needed critical infrastructure, enthrone a regime of probity and accountability and pull the country out of the economic woods it has been consigned to by locust years of mismanagement.”
