The primaries of Cross River state has reportedly been postponed.
Aliko Dangote Named Person Of The Year By Forbes Africa
Billionaire businessman, Aliko Dangote was on Thursday named Forbes Africa's Person of the Year 2014.
At the unveiling ceremony in Nairobi, Kenya, Dangote dedicated the award to Nigeria.
"Thank you @forbesafrica. I am humbled by this honour. I dedicate the award to Nigeria and I am proud to be an African"
It was his fourth nomination for the position.
According to the Judges; "Aliko Dangote is a Lion of Africa in terms of business. He is second to non when it comes to investing in Africa, not just Nigeria. He is also a capitalist with a big heart. He puts his money where his mouth is and his foundation is a step forward for a man who wants to make a difference on the continent."
South Africa Marks Annivasary Of Mandela's Death With Prayers & Tradition
On Friday, religious leaders and traditional healers gathered for an early morning interfaith prayer service to mark one year anniversary of Nelson Mandela's death.
At Pretoria's Freedom Park, the religious leaders decked in beaded necklaces and in leopard print, and in the collars of the clergy, gathered around a circle of boulders inside the amphitheater.
Traditional healers circled the rocks pouring Vodka, red wine and soft drink over them.
It was an offering, said healer Thobela Kentane; "This is what we used to do to engage with our ancestors and seek guidance from them.
"This is a sacred place. A spiritual place where all heroes and heroines from the liberation are put to rest.
A Place to represent all African people and honour them as freedom fighters, a place to pounder Mandela's message of peace." said researcher Kgomotso Lekalakala.
The former president and Nobel Peace Prize winner, diied on December 5 last year after a long illness.
He was buried on December 15 at Qunu, his ancestral village in Eastern Cape region.
Akinwunmi Ambode Wins Lagos APC Guber Primaries
Akinwunmi Ambode, 51-year-old former Accountant General of Lagos has emerged winner of the All Progressive Congress APC governorship primaries in Lagos.
At the governorship primaries held at Onikan Stadium, Lagos Island, Ambode won with 3,735 votes of the total valid votes of 5, 725 cast to defeat 12 other aspirants in the results announced by Dr. Peter Obada, a representative of the APC National Primaries Committee on Friday, after counting was done all through the night.

Kim Kardashian has been named the most searched celebrity by Bing. Kim knocked the reigning champion, Beyonce to the number two position.
According to Bing, Kim emerged number one because she has really been trending this year - from her Vogue magazine cover, her wedding to Kanye West, the "Kim Kardashian App", and her latest #BreakTheInternet cover for Paper magazine.

Man Arrested For Raping 11-year-old Girl With Down Syndrome
Evbhoriaria Chief Magistrate Court in Ikpoba-Okha, Benin City has remanded a 27-year-old man, Austin Okonkwo in prison custody for allegedly raping an 11-year-old girl with down syndrome.
The accused, pleaded not guilty to the one-count charge against him.
Police prosecutor, Aigbedion Obakpolo, informed the court that the offense was committed on November 29.
A relative of the victim, who pleaded anonymity after the court sitting, told Vanguard that the accused took the girl to his room where the act was committed. She also revealed that the victim cried of pains in her private part, which led to the arrest.
The case was adjourned to January 21, 2015.

Popular comedian and Samsung brand ambassador, Seyi Law has shown that whatever a woman can do, a man can do better. As he stormed his kitchen to show his cooking skills and boasted about it.
According to him, four different delicacies were cooked by him. Vegetable soup, fresh fish soup, turkey stew and okra soup. The comedian further boasted that he would be willing to be a master chef to any client that can pay.
