There was Pandemonium at the Ugbowo Campus of the University Of Benin on Friday, when a 300-level student of Chemistry department Gbenedio Ejiroghene, was gruesomely murdered by unknown Gunmen.
According to reports, Ejiroghene, popularly known as 'Kizito', was taking part in the Jeans Carnival organized for final-year students of the Faculty of Physical Sciences at the 100-Lecture Theatre of the faculty when he was shot in the head by the assailants around 7pm.
The Public Relation Officer of the school, Harris Osarenren, who confirmed the incident said, that the remains had been deposited at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital. He also disclosed that the case had been reported to the Ugbowo Police Station while investigation had commenced.
