The man of Durban, South Africa married his lover and they decided to have a baby via surrogacy.

However, the man who was denied maternity leave, has taken his government employers to Labour Court. He claimed that he was discriminated against, for being an opposite sex.

His employers told him that paid maternity leave of four months apply only to women. So, he was granted only four days off as "family responsibility leave" which is given to fathers of new born babies.
