How Police Killed A 12-year-old Boy For Holding A Fake Gun

A police officer is currently under investigation after shooting dead a 12-year-old boy, who pulled a replica gun from the waistband of his trousers in a playground.

The victim, Timir Rice(pictured above) passed away in the early hours of Sunday in Claveland, Ohio, the day after he was shot while holding the fake gun- which resembles a semi-automatic handgun but fires pallets.

A 911 call was make to Claveland Police on Saturday by an anonymous caller, who said a young boy with a pistol(probably fake) is pointing it at everybody and it's scary.

Deputy chief of police, Ed Tomba said one officer fired twice after the boy pulled the "fake weapon" - which did not have the Orange Safety Indication usually found on the muzzle of replicas. He said the boy did not make verbal threats but grabbed the replica hand gun after being told to raise his hands.

A lawyer for the boy's family, Timothy Kucharski said, Tamir went to the park with friends, but doesn't know details of what led to the shooting.
The incident is currently under investigation.
