Nigerian Prison's Service(NPS) has revealed that it has recaptured 193 prisoners out of 435 that escaped last week during an explosion that rocked Ekiti Federal prison.
A statement from NPS spokesperson, Ope Fatinikin disclosed that the joint efforts by Police, other security agencies have resulted in the capture of the 193 prisoners.
"Nearest communities and neighboring states of Ekiti, Ondo, Osun, Kogi and Kwara states should be vigilant and watch out for suspicious individuals and report them to the nearest prisons or police stations" he said.
He also revealed that the hunt for other escaped prisoners was still ongoing.
