In time past, Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson who recently gave birth to a baby boy was the toast of many movie makers especially in Asaba.
She was paid as high as N2 million per movie and she allegedly got banned at some point for charging "too high".
However, since she went on maternity leave, fast rising actress, Queen Nwokoye has filled the gap.
She's now busiest actress in Nigeria movie industry. Many film makers in Asaba, Delta state and Enugu axis now run after the actress for appearance in their movies.
Controversial producer, Charles Novia revealed this on a recent post tiled, the top 5 Nollywood actresses of 2014.
Hear him; "More often-than-not, many tend to dismiss the "Asabawood" genre of movies as crass, without structure and lacking a linear progression of plots."
"While a lot of movies from that area, juxtaposed with the so-called "New Nollywood" movies, can be a critics nightmare to watch. There is no denying that a few actors and actresses in that genre of movies has given us some performance which deserve applause."
