Singapore Bound AirAsia Flight Carrying 162 People Goes Missing In Transit


An AirAsia plane carrying 162 people on board lost contact with air traffic control en route from Indonesia to Singapore, Sunday morning.
The AirAsia flight from Surabaya to Singapore, lost contact with Jakarta at 7:55am(local time), transport ministry spokesman J.A Barata said.

The plane had an Indonesian captain, French co-pilot and five cabin crew.
The passengers include 16 Children, one Infant and 138 Adults. 
Nationalities onboard the aircraft include, 1Singapore, 1 Malaysia, 1 France, 3 South Korean, and 156 Indonesia.
A massive search and rescue operation is currently on for the missing plane. It was Airbus A320-200.
