An early morning fire destroyed about 300 shops at Sabongari Zaria main market in Sabongari LGA of Kaduna state, on Saturday.
According to reports, buildings, sheds and properties worth millions of Naira were destroyed in the inferno.
Also, reports received from eye witnesses indicates that the fire started either by midnight or early morning of Saturday and it is suspected to be caused by electricity.
It took the interventions of good samaritans and men of the fire service to put off the fire and prevent it's escalation. However, more than 300 shops were destroyed.
