Senate President Bukola Saraki has gone to the dock and plead not guilty to all 13 count charge of corruption and false assets declaration leveled against him by the code of conduct bureau.
Dr Saraki who has appeared before the code of conduct tribunal today for the first time says he is being told about the charges leveled against him for the first time.
Daudu, Defence for Saraki, says Saraki should be given adequate time for his defence. Daudu also said administration of criminal justice does not apply to tribunals.
The prosecution has however insisted that the rule of law must prevail.
The prosecutors and defence councils have agreed that the main trial will hold October 21st, 22nd, and 23rd.
